There is a small alcove with card table and selection of games. When you really want some peace, hideaway in the small snug with a good book or watch TV. You also have three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Outside you can enjoy the views where the garden has a rustic feel with a patio area offering a table and chairs with the remainder of the grounds set as a mature meadow. The rear of the property forms part of Garway Hillside and has sheep roaming freely. There’s lots of local animals and wildlife include mountain horses, sheep, and Great Crested Newts to enjoy. Those in search of adventure can head to Pen Y Fan and take in the breathtaking views of the rolling countryside.

The Old Bakehouse is a 16th century half-timbered cottage, part of the larger Wythall manor house and estate, set in idyllic grounds with woodland, freshwater lake, and award-winning vineyards. There is an abundance of wildlife from owls to badgers, kites to deer - something for everyone to enjoy.

The Old Bakehouse is full of character and charm and has some fabulous beams running through the property with beautiful leaded windows. The large garden has a freshwater lake, providing the tranquil, relaxing sound of running water, lawned area with garden furniture; great for simply enjoying the sounds of the resident wildlife. With walks, such as the Wye Valley Walk, to be had from your doorstep, you can stroll through the woodlands and make your way to the award winning vineyards where the owners produce their own wine. Once you have finished exploring the grounds of this wonderful estate, come back to the property and relax in the open plan living space. The cottage is also ideally placed for you to experience canoeing along the Wye River, swimming in the River Monnow, or hiking on Offa’s Dyke or The Three Castles Way. Horse-riding, rock climbing, canoeing, fishing and caving are all within easy reach in the Wye Valley, the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. If you want to get away from the television there is another living space in the glorious sunroom, which has folding glass doors leading out onto the south-facing front patio. There is a ground-floor toilet and a separate utility room with a tumble dryer. On the first floor you will find three bedrooms, one with a super kingsize bed, and two with twin beds. The bathroom has the best views from the cottage and has a stand-alone roll-top bath, shower cubicle, handbasin and toilet. These four superb holiday cottages nestle on the borders of Herefordshire and Worcestershire and are located on a 700-acre estate on the beautiful west side of the Malvern Hills. Netherley Hall Estate is a family-run farm specialising in the breeding of cattle and sheep and the surrounding area offers marvellous woodland walks.

The cottages are within 15 minutes’ drive of Malvern and have panoramic views of the wooded hills and unspoilt countryside; the location is ideal for nature enthusiasts, with an abundance of wildlife to observe as well as unrivalled birdwatching.

Three of the cottages are detached, whilst the fourth one is semi-detached, and the English oak timber used to restore their interiors was felled and machined from the extensive woodland on the estate itself. The furnishings and fittings for all the cottages have been supplied by local businesses, and during restoration, the owners have paid great attention to detail.
Parkers (ref RAAP) was originally built in 1610 and is a detached, listed building lovingly restored to the very highest standard and has several items of antique furniture. Parkers Lodge (ref RAAQ) is a smaller two-bedroomed detached cottage completed in 2006 and fitted out to a very high standard, whilst Brook House (ref RAAR) is a detached, listed building dating from around 1670 and emanates a marvellous ambience. It has landscaped gardens and a terrace with outstanding views overlooking Mathon Brook. The Bothy (ref UK12100) is semi-detached and was renovated in 2019. It has a kitchen/dining room, and through the archway there is a comfortable living room with French doors opening out to a beautiful garden area, with views over the farmland and farm animals.

Attractions to visit near the cottages include the Malvern Hills, Three Counties Showground and Malvern Theatre, as well as farm shops, gardens, gift shops, picnic areas and walking trails. Fishing, golf and horse riding are also available, as well as pick your own fruit (in season).
