The Manor Coach House is enticing, spacious and charming. It has been lovingly restored by the owners to create a contemporary, upside down cottage with luxury furniture and fittings. The two kingsize bedrooms both have large stunning en-suite bathrooms, a spiral staircase leads to the first floor open plan living space where you will find a karaoke machine, record player with a selection of records, and a selection of board games. Leading out from the living space is a lovely teak balcony overlooking the large 1 acre garden where you will find an elegant walled terrace and garden furniture. Have some fun and enjoy a dip in the heated pool followed by a game of table tennis outside. Relax as the sun goes down and light up the barbecue for an enjoyable evening meal in this delightful sun trap. The hot tub with a waterfall feature overlooks the enclosed garden with a sheltered walled terrace, brick built gas barbecue, additional Weber coal barbecue (coals supplied) and a wood-fired pizza oven.
This elevated property sits high above the Stour Valley and has the benefits of being just a short drive to the historic city of Canterbury, as well as being surrounded by the picturesque Kent countryside, footpaths, cycle routes and a unique complex of lakes where day anglers can spend a happy day fishing. Just 20 minutes away you can be in Whitstable where you’ll find some wonderful award-winning beaches. Enjoy some wonderful local walks along The River Stour and stop off at the local farm shop in Chilham for some tasty treats. And don’t forget your dog! Malthouse Barn is 20 minutes from Canterbury, and the Channel Tunnel is 15 minutes away for the Eurostar to Paris. Take the fast train from Ashford and be at St Pancras, London, in just over half an hour. For a car free holiday, the owners are happy to collect and deliver guests to and from the station, and for sightseeing trips, you can take the train into historic Canterbury. Enjoy views from the decking down the valley which is occasionally visited by herds of wild deer. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is an orchid conservation area, and makes a lovely place to visit in any season. For flower lovers, there are great gardens to visit nearby including the famous gardens at Sissinghurst, Great Dixter, Bateman’s, Scotney Castle and Charleston. The town of Wye is 4 miles away and has a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs, with a farmers’ market every other Saturday. There are also two local pubs within walking distance. This is excellent walking terrain, and for the more daring, try hot air ballooning locally. Shop 3 miles, pub 1 mile.

Situated in the village of Hadlow, there are many countryside walks and cycle routes, perfect for ramblers and cyclists alike. Hadlow is a village in the borough of Tonbridge which is in between Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks. The centre of which is a conservation area with many listed buildings alongside a range of shops including pubs and restaurants. On the outskirts of the village is Hadlow College of Agriculture boasting Broadview Gardens within its grounds which offers acres of landscaped gardens and a garden centre, both open to the public.

If you fancy exploring further afield then a trip into Tonbridge provides you with retail therapy, Tonbridge Castle, Oast House Theatre, a trip along the river and even a distillery. There is also a mainline railway station offering access to several towns. London Bridge train and tube, Waterloo East and Charing Cross stations are less than 45 minutes away. If you prefer, you can also head south on the train towards the coast to Hastings to visit the seaside and the historic Old Town. There are many National Trust and English Heritage sites to discover. Here, Bi-folding doors lead out to the undercover gazebo and then out to the garden.
After a day of exploring the countryside, what better way to unwind than in the stunning freestanding bath, or warming walk-in rain shower. Split over two floors are 3 individually styled bedrooms, ideal for couples or extended families holidaying together. On the ground floor, is a peaceful double bedroom, with rustic beamed walls complimented with a splash of deep green paint and sumptuous padded headboard. Upstairs, the further bedrooms are each accessed by their own separate staircase from the living area.
