The television rises out of a wooden chest, and to add to the intrigue further, a full length mirror conceals the dressing room – it’s brilliant! Outside in the grounds, badminton and croquet is available to set up on the lawn. Finally there’s the opportunity to play with the tame goats, sheep and chickens, including the collection of eggs!
    The village of Parbold is 1½ miles away and includes a train station with direct service to Manchester in just under an hour. Several good country pubs are within easy walking distance, and the Leeds to Liverpool canal runs through the village for waterside strolls and narrowboat/kayak hire. Fabulous walks and hikes are available direct from the door, and the beautiful sandy beach of Southport is a mere 30-minute drive.
