In November seal pups can be seen on the beach at Donna Nook. Medieval Lincoln is within an hour’s drive across the lovely Wolds countryside. Shop, café and pub 500 yards.

Grange Farm is in the countryside stewardship scheme which aims to preserve the existing flora, fauna and landscape and is traversed by the Viking Way and the New Cole Way allowing both hikers and riders access to the local grid of footpaths and bridleways. There is a local tea room close by, that is open 7 days a week and is ideal for a quiet afternoon cuppa. The Lincolnshire coast and the resorts of Cleethorpes, Skegness and Mablethorpe are easily accessible as is Lincoln with its castle and medieval cathedral. On the edge of the village of Hogsthorpe, close to Chapel St Leonards and the beach, this detached bungalow enjoys open views from the conservatory across the fields where you can sit back and relax. There is plenty to see and do for all the family in the area, with the North Sea Observatory at Chapel St Leonards on the beach, which is well worth a visit. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is just along the coast, as is Fantasy Island at Ingoldmells with its huge funfair and market. Gibraltar Point nature reserve is approximately a 30-minute drive away to the south of Skegness, and inland there are the market towns of Alford, Louth and Horncastle to explore. If you are bringing your dog on holiday there is an enclosed area to the rear, and the large kitchen/dining room provides a great space for all the family to be together at meal times. Wainfleet All Saints is a quaint market town with an array of shops, pubs, restaurant and a railway station. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is just 5 miles away, and has a lovely sandy beach and family entertainment, including the Fantasy Island theme park. The National Trust properties of Gunby Hall and Tattershall Castle are within easy driving distance. Visit bird and seal sanctuaries along the coast, or take a trip to medieval Lincoln, with its famous castle and cathedral, just 40 miles away, across the scenic, rolling Lincolnshire Wolds countryside. For those wishing to enjoy a very popular gastro pub there is one at Skendleby approximately a 10-minute drive away. You can even bring your family dog, with two small dogs welcome, but please be aware there could be cattle or sheep in adjacent fields.
