For days out, visit the coast for miles of sandy beaches or head inland, 28 miles to the city of Lincoln, with its spectacular cathedral, castle, popular Bailgate area for shopping, restaurants and bars. Or head down Steep Hill to the Brayford Waterside where you can watch the boats cruise by. After a day exploring you can cosy up in front of the wood burner or relax on the large terrace and enjoy the peace and quiet, with very little light pollution its great for the star gazers among you. Attractions in the area include, Cadwell park race track, Market Rasen Horse racing, Woodhall Spa gold as well as home of the dam busters, Horncastle, antique centre of Lincolnshire and Spilsby Sir John Franklins birth place. Sommersby Tennysons birth place, Coningsby home of the Battle of Briton flight and the Euro fighter. Best of all the Lincolnshire wolds, go out the gate, turn right and you dont have to see a main road let alone cross one.

Keen fishermen will enjoy the coarse fishing lakes just 300 yards away.

The National Trust properties of Gunby Hall and Tattershall Castle are within easy driving distance. Visit bird and seal sanctuaries along the coast, or take a trip to medieval Lincoln, with its famous castle and cathedral, just 40 miles away, across the scenic, rolling Lincolnshire Wolds countryside. Brandon is a lovely family holiday home set just 100 yards from the seafront and the beach, in a residential area. Offering spacious accommodation for all the family to spread out and enjoy, it includes a large garden room with a TV and desk space for remote working, as well as a cinema room where you can sit back and enjoy a film. The front porch is the ideal space for dogs and where muddy boots can be stored. Guests will also have use of a private beach hut, with gas cooking facilities and beach equipment, only a short walk from the house.
Sandilands has been a popular family holiday destination for generations with unspoilt, award-winning, sandy beaches, miles of lovely walks along the coast and brightly coloured beach huts along the promenade, which stretches from Sandilands to Mablethorpe.
Nearby, just 50 yards away, is a shop and café which also serves food. A stroll along the seafront takes you to Sutton-on-Sea about a mile away or you can continue all the way to Mablethorpe which is about another 2 miles along the promenade. For days out you could enjoy the fun of the traditional seaside amusements at Mablethorpe, catch the bus along the coast to Fantasy Island, Butlins or Skegness which has a fairground, amusements, cinema, aquarium, and fun for all the family to enjoy. A footpath through the field takes you to the village pub where you can have food, and is a 10-minute walk away, before you return to soak in the swim spa after a busy day out. For those wishing to enjoy a very popular gastro pub there is one at Skendleby approximately a 10-minute drive away.
You can even bring your family pets, with up to three dogs welcome, but please be aware there could be cattle or sheep in adjacent fields. There are very good walks from the door with the area also being very popular for cyclists. Beach 5 miles and pub 1 mile.
