Honeysuckle Cottage is a luxury barn conversion set on the edge of the pretty village of Oasby. It is part of the owner’s grass and arable farm and they have a great interest in wildlife and conservation. All visitors are welcome to access all the farm. It is an ideal base from which to explore the area. Numerous walks and cycle routes are close at hand and a lovely country pub, with fine real ales and delicious food, is only a 5-minute stroll away.

For those wishing to explore further afield, Stamford, Lincoln, Newark and Uppingham offer castles, museums, antique centres and numerous pubs and restaurants. Those interested in WWII can visit the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Coningsby, and the newly completed Bomber Command at Lincoln.

There are numerous golf courses nearby including the National Golf centre at Woodhall Spa. Rutland Water offers various water sports throughout the year, and the circular track around the reservoir provides easy walking and cycling for all ages, with bikes available for hire. Oasby is also home to the British Eventing Oasby Horse Trials, which takes place twice a year on the farm, attracting world class riders to the event.

Shops are available 3 miles away, and there are several pubs in the locality offering a range of meals. The owners are happy for visitors to the cottage to bring their horses and/or ponies. We can provide grazing and plenty of maps for horse riding.

The Sanctuary is a beautiful barn conversion which offers a comfortable stay in the Medieval hamlet of Burton Pedwardine, which can trace its history back to before the Norman Conquest and is mentioned in The Domesday Book. The characterful property is set on the owners’ sheep sanctuary and has been stylishly decorated and furnished with a unique flourish (the owners are artists), giving a relaxing home-from-home feeling.
The Sanctuary offers a luxury holiday retreat whilst being ideally located to explore all that Lincolnshire has to offer. The locale is steeped in history and the land is the predominant site of the original medieval village complete with an 11 meter deep well, the village pond and the old road running diagonally across. The Sanctuary is built with salvaged materials from outbuildings which once stood adjacent to the main house and on part of the old village green. The owners built a barn-style property with a double-height ceiling and the slate roof was salvaged from the nearby Victorian Schoolhouse.The property is entered directly into the bright and spacious living area. There is a cosy sitting area which boasts a stunning wood burner providing additional heat and charm along with a Smart TV ideal for kicking back and relaxing in comfort. In the same open-plan space, there is a warm dining area which seats six and a coffee/tea station on the way to the well-equipped, well-presented kitchen with plenty of space for food preparation should you not wish to dine at the many eateries close by. On the same floor is a lovely bathroom with a generous shower. Through the bi-fold doors from the living area, there is a gorgeous patio area leading on to the property’s private, enclosed garden, surrounded by stunning views giving you a great place to sit out and relax in the summer months whilst enjoying a glass of fizz, or simply taking in the fresh morning air to the sound of sheep and chickens with your coffee.
There are three good-sized bedrooms one on the ground floor and two on the first floor. The ground floor bedroom has a generous kingsize bed. One of the bedrooms on the first floor has en-suite facilities and another king-size bed. The third bedroom is the largest with a super kingsize zip and link bed, small sitting area, TV and dressing table. The upper bedrooms have air conditioning. All bedrooms have fresh cotton linen, guaranteeing a perfect night’s sleep and guests are provided with soft, quality towels.
Heckington is two miles away with a train station for trips to the East Coast with its many beaches and nature reserves. Heckington has three pubs, an independent brewery within the eight-sailed windmill, a Co-op, greengrocers, takeaways and cafés (there is a WONDERFUL coffee shop on the high street and an award-winning chip shop). Heckington also plays host to the largest village country show in the UK. Situated just six miles away is the town of Sleaford which has plenty of independent shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs.
There is also The Hub, a national centre for art and design and a theatre, plus historical attractions. Within a 40-minute drive are Lincoln, Grantham and Newark with their castles and cathedrals. Just a half hour away is Woodhall Spa which has the headquarters of the National Golf Union, two golf courses and an academy. Locally, there are lovely walks through the surrounding countryside and cycle routes straight from your accommodation with an abundance of wildlife which surrounds the property. Lincolnshire Cycle Trail runs through the village. Cyclists around here are made of serious stuff; however, local roads are largely level and easy for novices. The fantastic Lincolnshire Wolds National Park is also easily accessible with plenty of scenic walks and cycle trails.

Lakeside Retreats enjoys a peaceful location tucked away in the Lincolnshire countryside, with all the luxury lodges overlooking the fishing lakes. For days out, visit the coast for miles of sandy beaches or head inland, 28 miles to the city of Lincoln, with its spectacular cathedral, castle, popular Bailgate area for shopping, restaurants and bars. Or head down Steep Hill to the Brayford Waterside where you can watch the boats cruise by. After a day exploring you can cosy up in front of the wood burner or relax on the large terrace and enjoy the peace and quiet, with very little light pollution its great for the star gazers among you. Attractions in the area include, Cadwell park race track, Market Rasen Horse racing, Woodhall Spa gold as well as home of the dam busters, Horncastle, antique centre of Lincolnshire and Spilsby Sir John Franklins birth place. Sommersby Tennysons birth place, Coningsby home of the Battle of Briton flight and the Euro fighter. Best of all the Lincolnshire wolds, go out the gate, turn right and you dont have to see a main road let alone cross one.

A lovely holiday home for a family break with a private hot tub to relax in and enjoy. Just 4 miles from the sandy beaches of Chapel St Leonards which is a small seaside town north of Skegness. Anderby Creek is also the same distance away and with unspoilt beaches and a good cafe to enjoy is always popular for a day out. Within 20 mins drive for great family days out are Fantasy Island, Butlins as well as the traditional seaside resorts of Mablethorpe and Skegness. With a bedroom and shower room on the ground floor Nurseries Cottage is ideal for those that are less mobile and the kitchen offers a good social area to enjoy with comfy seating as well as looking out onto the back garden and open fields to the front. A lovely location for a family holiday close to the beach. Sandilands has been popular for many generations of families to visit the coast and this lovely bungalow is situated in a quiet residential area approximately 500 yards walk from the beach – you can see the dunes from the back garden. Within a short walk is the beach, shop, pub, nature reserve and Sandilands colourful beach huts. For days out you can walk or cycle along the seafront to Sutton on Sea or further on to the traditional seaside resort of Mablethorpe. A bus trip takes you along the coast to Anderby Creek, the café/observatory at Huttoft or stop at Chapel St Leonards. Fantasy Island, Butlins and Skegness are all within 30 minutes’ drive for family days out or enjoy the bus ride to them along the coast.
