The romantic Avocet (UK32213) is the perfect choice for couples, accommodating 2 guests while Lapwing (UK32201), Curlew (UK32212) and Sandpiper (UK32208) will appeal to small families, each sleeping up to 4 guests. Sandpiper is set all on one level and features a wet-room, so is ideal for those who are less mobile. Oyster Catcher (UK32200) is the larger of the barns boasting three comfortable bedrooms, offering a spacious retreat for larger families or groups. Each property benefits from their own private garden and 4 of them have their own hot tubs too (Sandpiper does not).
Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve is within walking distance and is well known for its unspoilt coastline that runs southwards from the edge of Skegness to the mouth of the Wash. The impressive views along with the sheer scale and diversity of wildlife makes it well worth visiting at all times of the year. There is also a visitor centre and café for refreshment.
Skegness is a fantastic traditional seaside resort and has something for all the family to enjoy from its funfair, amusements, aquarium and award winning sandy beaches to its range of restaurants, bars and nightlife. Watching the Banger racing is sure to make for a fun family day out and in the summer you can enjoy a donkey ride along the beach. An 18-hole links golf course is also within a mile.
Alternatively head inland to the rolling Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Natural Beauty, and explore the market towns of Louth, Market Rasen and Horncastle. Enjoy the motor racing at Cadwell Park, the horse racing at Market Rasen or even a day out in the City of Lincoln, famous for its Cathedral and Castle. Enjoying a rural location on the edge of the owners farm there are lovely walks straight from the door with the nearby nature reserve offering many miles of peaceful walks. Beach 1 mile. Head Brewers House (formerly known as Merrilodge), the former home of George Bateman and family as well as the Head Brewer’s house. This lovely family house has a swimming pool in the large garden with an entertaining area to the side, perfect for al fresco dining. Spacious accommodation awaits you with two large living rooms. Refurbished in 2021 to provide holiday accommodation, this is one of five properties available at the Brewery to enjoy. As well as its own large lawned garden and swimming pool guests can also enjoy the large shared garden adjacent to the Brewery Windmill which runs alongside the River Steeping where you can also fish from the bank. Discounted Brewery tours are available, which include sampling and the small market town of Wainfleet has a good range of shops, pubs, takeaways and a railway station a short walk away for days out. This lovely barn is on the edge of the family farm, which has been superbly restored in 2021 and extended to provide great family sized accommodation with space for everyone to enjoy. Ideal for families staying together with two separate staircases to the first floor, a large south facing patio with 15ft swim spa, as well as a lawned garden for fun family games.
Just 5 miles from the sandy beaches at Chapel St Leonards and within 15 minutes’ drive you have the traditional seaside resorts of Skegness and Mablethorpe, Fantasy Island, Butlins, Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve and The Lincolnshire Wolds. A footpath through the field takes you to the village pub where you can have food, and is a 10-minute walk away, before you return to soak in the swim spa after a busy day out. For those wishing to enjoy a very popular gastro pub there is one at Skendleby approximately a 10-minute drive away.
You can even bring your family pets, with up to three dogs welcome, but please be aware there could be cattle or sheep in adjacent fields. There are very good walks from the door with the area also being very popular for cyclists. Beach 5 miles and pub 1 mile.

Owl Barn is situated in a peaceful, rural location between Boston and Skegness. The property is also close to RSPB Frampton marsh which is just 20 minutes drive away and is a very popular spot for birdwatchers and nature lovers to visit. For those visiting shows at Sheepgate Equestrian, Owl barn will make the perfect base as it only 2 miles away. Boston, famous for its Stump and for St Botolph’s Church which sits alongside its market place. There is also the Maud Foster Windmill which is always worth visiting, along with many good shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs for refreshment.
To the north is the traditional seaside resort of Skegness, great for a family day out with its fun fair, amusements, pier, aquarium, and long sandy beaches for strolling alongside the sea. After a day out you can return to your own cosy wood burner and a private hot tub where you can sit back and relax with open views across the fields. There are many good walks and cycle routes throughout the area, so there is plenty to keep everyone entertained. Beach 17½ miles. Shop 1.5 miles and pub 1 mile.

This lovely cottage with a hot tub is tucked away in the countryside close to the village of Blankney. You can relax in the hot tub enjoying the views as well as snuggle up in front of the wood burner after a day spent exploring the area.

Enjoy a day exploring nearby Lincoln, famous for its magnificent cathedral, castle and the Magna Carta Visitor Centre. Visit the Bailgate area in the heart of Lincoln’s historic quarter and discover a world of specialist shops including boutiques, crafts, book, and gift shops, not to mention tea rooms and restaurants that line the cobbled streets.

The neighbouring village of Metheringham, with its pubs and restaurant, is just 2 miles away, and Blankney Golf Club, an 18-hole golf course, can be reached in under a mile. Throughout the area are many good cycle routes and walks, from your own gate you can walk out onto the quiet country lane and stroll into the village or simply stay in your cottage and just enjoy the open views and relaxing countryside. Wainfleet All Saints is a quaint market town with an array of shops, pubs, restaurant and a railway station. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is just 5 miles away, and has a lovely sandy beach and family entertainment, including the Fantasy Island theme park. The National Trust properties of Gunby Hall and Tattershall Castle are within easy driving distance.
