There is a further kingsize bedroom and a double room all on the first floor which are beautifully presented with attractive bedding and comfortable beds, perfect for a good nights sleep. A family bathroom with luxurious freestanding bath and low entry shower completes this floor.

    To the rear of the property is a small, attractive, south facing patio area with garden furniture, a great place to retreat with a glass of wine after a busy day in the Dales. Alternatively there are many pubs, restaurants and cafés within a short stroll and all are well known for serving good quality, local food and produce.

    Perfect for horse lovers, Middleham is renowned for its long history and also serves as a thriving racehorse community. Guests will be able to watch as top class racehorses are ridden daily through the village and up to the gallops in the fields at the edge of the village. The extremely popular Middleham Open Day is held annually on Easter Monday when you can take a look around the racing stables too! Middleham Castle lies just behind Milton House and was once the home of Richard III, and was referred to in former times as the ’Windsor of the North’. Middleham is a great place for families too with plenty of attractions to visit and explore within a short driving distance.

    If you’re looking to get out and stretch your legs, guests who enjoy walking, cycling or even just exploring will find an abundance of established public footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways that lead right from the village itself through the Dales and beyond, with spectacular scenery, open countryside and pretty little Yorkshire villages. A little further afield, within easy driving distance, guests will be able to visit Castle Bolton, Jervaulx Abbey and Wensleydale Creamery, as well as Aysgarth Falls, Hawes, Gayle Mill, York, Harrogate and Ripon.
