All the cottages are open plan with a relaxing sitting area. The kitchens are well planned and well-equipped with a dining table to sit and enjoy home cooked evening meals. 1 Croft Cottage (UK10587) and 3 Croft Cottage (ref UK10589) have a spacious double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and both have a comfortable sofa bed for additional sleeping. 2 Croft Cottage (ref UK10588) has a large double bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom with shower over bath. 1 Croft Cottage has seating area to the front of the cottage, while 2 Croft Cottage and 3 Croft Cottage both have an enclosed lawned area to the front, where you can sit and enjoy morning coffee or al fresco dining after a long day exploring the local area.
The village of Stillington has many amenities including several pubs, restaurants and a Post Office selling local produce and fresh meat. With a social club and a large antiques showroom there is certainly plenty to keep you busy. There are many miles of public footpaths and bridleways crisscrossing the countryside, and with the Howardian Hills only a few miles away it makes the cottages great for dogs. Stillington is also close to Thirsk, Helmsley, Harrogate and Knaresborough and has a great local bus service which will connect you to all of North Yorkshire.
The historic city of York is a must visit destination with attractions for all the family, from the famous Jorvic Viking Centre and the National Railway Museum to York’s Chocolate Story and York Minster. York’s winding streets and medieval buildings are world famous for playing host to hundreds of independent shops and restaurants. Indeed the coffee culture in York is well established with many eateries offering outside seating areas allowing you to watch the world go by. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 10 yards.
