Nestled away and surrounded by fields and farmland, just outside the popular Yorkshire village of Middleham, Curlew Barn is the perfect destination for guests wanting to enjoy a quiet, romantic break. Jervaulx Abbey was once a great Cistercian monastery and is certainly worth a visit to explore the history and also to enjoy a spot of lunch in the popular tea rooms. A little further afield but still within walking distance, guests will find footpaths leading up hills and down dales, through natural, unspoilt woodland and open countryside, to many attractive Yorkshire towns and villages situated just a few miles away. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty really does offer some of the most magnificent scenery and stunning views, and should be visited at all times of the year just to appreciate the sheer beauty of the landscape. The Forbidden Corner is only a few miles away and really must be explored by guests of all ages. This once private folly is now open as an attraction to the public and offers guests a fun filled day out with twists and turns round every corner.
