This wonderful cottage is part of Seaton Hall, an ancient manor house with over a thousand years of recorded history. Seaton Hall has a fascinating past, the hall was named after the de Seton dynasty who resided from 1130 to 1307, and whose family made allegiances with and marriages to the Scottish Royal family. Passed down through generations, before slipping into disrepair. The present owner (who is descended from one of the previous residents Sir Francis Bigod) purchased the estate in 2002. He has employed a team of specialist masons and craftsmen and has been lovingly rebuilding and restoring this incredible place of local heritage.

There is something to delight everyone in the area, with picturesque walking trails, including the Cleveland Way leading across the cliff tops. Many pretty coastal villages such as Runswick Bay, Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes and the historical seafaring town of Whitby will delight guests. Whitby, with its cobbled old town, independent shops and cafes, boat trips and the iconic Abbey ruins makes a great day out. Saltburn is a surfer’s paradise, with a beautiful Victorian pier. You can take a trip on the steam train across the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, taking in the views and visiting some beautiful villages along the way. For children you can ride the miniature train in Ruswarp before hiring a boat to row along the river. Visit the very popular Rievaulx Abbey or the nearby towns and cities including fabulous Helmsley, Thirsk, Richmond and a little further afield York, Harrogate and Leeds which can be accessed by the train station in Northallerton or around a one-hour drive. Alternatively, if you wanted to leave the car and have a day exploring there are plenty of picturesque walks right on Mill Cottages’ doorstep along with a superb village pub offering a variety of local ales and good old pub grub. Aptly named ‘Sea Views Three - 38’, this gorgeous holiday cottage resides within a peaceful cul-de-sac on the dramatic headland of Knipe Point, just to the south of the historic coastal town of Scarborough. This is the ideal location for exploring the dramatic Yorkshire Coastline, and only a short stroll away from the beach following the steps down from the cliff top. The Cleveland Way passes by the doorstep, taking you along the coast and then inland into the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
The Yorkshire coastline draws guests back year after year, with welcoming locals, fresh local seafood, a fascinating seafaring history as well as many picturesque views. Here at Sea Views Three - 38 you can enjoy the scenery from the comfort of the living room, with glass patio doors making the most of the views.
