The spacious layout of the property is designed with your comfort and enjoyment in mind, bathed in light from large skylights as well as the glass doors opening out onto the raised decking which looks across the garden. There is a selection of amenities available in the village centre which is ½ mile away from the property including a garage with a shop, post office, chemist, two food serving pubs as well as a renowned fish and chip takeaway. Nearby Scarborough is a popular and historic resort, offering two sandy bays, a long promenade, and the ruins of Scarborough Castle, perched high on the cliffs above. Stroll through the colourful ornamental gardens of Peasholm Park on the North Bay, or South Cliff Gardens above the historic Spa complex, visit the Rotunda Museum or have fun on the amusements. Culture lovers will be impressed by the renowned Stephen Joseph Theatre in the Round, which features excellent productions, or the large, open-air theatre which hosts many well-known bands. Seaton Court has a fascinating past, the hall was named after the de Seton dynasty who resided from 1130 to 1307 and whose family made allegiances with and marriages to the Scottish Royal family. Passed down through generations, before slipping into disrepair. The present owner (who is descended from one of the previous residents Sir Francis Bigod) purchased the estate in 2002 and employed a team of specialist masons and craftsmen who have been lovingly rebuilding and restoring this incredible place of local heritage. Located in private grounds on the edge of Staithes on the breathtakingly beautiful North Yorkshire Coast, surrounded by the heather clad North Yorkshire Moors.
Stepping inside Seaton Court you enter into the hallway, where your walking boots and coats can be stored in the utility room. Through into the open plan living room with a dining area and a bespoke hand crafted kitchen looking out onto your own patio with the rolling countryside beyond. Cast your eyes up into the incredible supporting beams and the ancient hand carved masonry above the feature fire place. Each cottage here has wonderful unique features and charm, showcasing its heritage. Upstairs you have two bedrooms, a double and a twin which can be made up as a double on request, plus an additional double bedroom down stairs. For days when you do not fancy cooking there is a café on site, as well as an antiques barn to browse. There are picturesque walking trails including the Cleveland Way leading across the cliff tops. Many pretty coastal villages such as Runswick Bay, Robin Hood’s Bay as well as Staithes. The historical seafaring town of Whitby delights guests with boat trips and the iconic Abbey ruins. Saltburn is a surfer’s paradise, with a beautiful Victorian pier. Whitehall Landing is a popular development as you can follow the footpath along the river and arrive in the centre of Whitby in just 10 minutes. Here you are in a central scenic spot, whilst benefiting from designated parking, which is a big bonus in such a popular holiday destination.

Beautifully furnished throughout, the apartment is all on one level, with a spacious open plan living room and dining area. The upholstered suite has enough comfortable seating for all the guests together, with a large TV for you to enjoy in evenings. From the dining area there is a hallway which leads to the bedrooms and bathroom as well as the kitchen. A short walk down the hill is where you will find a quaint dog-friendly café and the beach is just beyond. A short drive away is the pretty seaside town of Filey and the harbour port of Scarborough. With offroad parking on the driveway at the front of the property, steps lead you up to the front door where you have elevated views over the sea. Stepping inside the hallway leads you to the spacious modern kitchen, which is open plan with the dining area. The site is just 8 miles from the centre of Filey which has a wonderful stretch of beach that goes for over 5 miles down the coast. The seaside town of Filey has been visited for generations by lots of families attracted by the beach and the traditional seaside resort. The cobble landing leads down to the Filey Brigg where you see many children rock pooling. On the clifftops is the end of the Cleveland Way walk, with many a weary walker sitting on the clifftops after completing the walk. The walks among the clifftops are stunning and some of the best available down the East Coast. To the south you have the RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs, and you’ll see all the migrating birds from puffins to guillemots and kittiwakes. The seaside resorts of Scarborough, Flamborough Head and Bridlington are just a short drive away.
