Tucked away in the peaceful village of Middleton this little cottage dates back to the 1750’s, where it was once a tiny farmhouse with its own small allotment that they used for animals and crops. This quaint hideaway still retains many of its original charm, with beamed ceilings and lots of character. With the benefit of your own designated off-road parking bay. This is the ideal destination for those who love the great outdoors, with incredible scenic views in the National Park to soak up. There are wonderful woodland walks through Dalby forest nearby, as well as many scenic bays along the coast only a 40 minutes’ drive away. Middleton itself is a small village just on the edge of the market town of Pickering. In Middleton you have a popular pub serving hearty meals, as well as a small tearoom and a local shop. Neighbouring Pickering has a medieval castle as well as a steam train which winds its way from Pickering over the rolling heather, through valleys and hill all the way to Whitby on the coast.

The North York Moors is a haven for walkers with many trails to explore and an abundance of wildlife. Nearby you have Malton, the food capital of Yorkshire, with a market, award-winning restaurants, and a cookery school. This is a self-contained, well appointed, one bedroom cottage, located on a working farm with uninterrupted views down the valley. It is not far from the Dalby Forest with fantastic mountain bike trails, even the World Cup Cycle Trail has been held here, so there’s plenty of tracks to suit all abilities. The coast is just a short drive with Scarborough, England’s oldest seaside resort being the closest large resort, just 6 miles away with many shops and restaurants, and a visit to the Sea Life Sanctuary and Peasholm Park are not to be missed. Whitby 15 miles north, is rich in history and famous for its connections with Captain Cook.
