    Situated in the village of Cloughton and built in 2019, Oliver’s View is a beautiful, semi-detached, three bedroom house of a very good standard with furnishings and décor to match. It is named after Oliver’s Mount that can be seen from the property to the right, due to the uninterrupted views across the countryside from the garden. A wildlife pond and the sea can also be seen from the garden. Oliver’s View is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in an idyllic village location. The village has a good bus service that runs between Whitby and Scarborough, and it also has two village pubs that serves food, one The Blacksmith’s Arms, owned by the Duchy of Lancaster, famously hosted Her Majesty the Queen for lunch!

    Lying on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, the stunning scenery and walks that are right on your doorstep are wonderful. The Cleveland Way runs down the coast as well as the Cinder Path, the old railway line track that ran between Scarborough and Whitby which can be seen from the rear garden. Lots of cyclists and walkers enjoy this route taking in the fantastic views and historic sites.

    Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and Scarborough are just a short drive away, both very popular seaside resorts all year round and have excellent restaurants, bars and shops. Just a 10-minute drive and you can be walking round Peasholm Park or visiting the very popular Alpamare waterpark with its wave machines and splash pools. Scarborough is also home to the largest outdoor theatre in Europe where many international artists entertain tourists every year. The annual Scarborough Cricket Festival continues to be a real attraction to lovers of the sport. Oliver’s View is a great base to see what Yorkshire has to offer.

Culture lovers will be impressed by the renowned Stephen Joseph Theatre in the Round, which features excellent productions, or the large, open-air theatre which hosts many well-known bands. For children you have the Sea Life Centre, Alpamare Water Park, Playdale Farm Park, Dalby Forest Go Ape and Activity Centre, Castle Howard, Wykeham Lakes Fishing and Water Park, Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo, and Mini Monsters indoor soft play for wet days, all within a 30-minute drive.
    East Ayton itself has several local footpaths and walks to explore right from the doorstep, taking in the Natural Nature Reserve of Forge Valley and Raincliffe Woods, with connecting walks through the fields of the local Ayton Castle.     The Linden Suite is beautifully furnished throughout to an exceptionally high standard. All on one level, the accommodation is all on the ground floor with full wheelchair access, wide doors and walk-in bath. The living area is open plan with a modern well equipped kitchen, a dining area as well as two sofas in front of the large Smart TV. One of the sofas is a high quality sofa bed which can be used by two additional guests on request. There is a double bedroom as well as a twin bedroom, both have wardrobes and TVs. The seaside town of Filey has been visited for generations by lots of families attracted by the beach and the traditional seaside resort. The cobble landing leads down to the Filey Brigg where you see many children rock pooling. On the clifftops is the end of the Cleveland Way walk, with many a weary walker sitting on the clifftops after completing the walk. The walks among the clifftops are stunning and some of the best available down the East Coast. To the south you have the RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs, and you’ll see all the migrating birds from puffins to guillemots and kittiwakes. The seaside resorts of Scarborough, Flamborough Head and Bridlington are just a short drive away.
    Scarborough has two glorious beaches with a castle on the cliff top in-between, you also have the oriental gardens at Peasolm park, the Sealife Centre and one of Europe’s largest open air theatres which a great line up during the summer months. The medieval City of York is less than an hour away and is voted every year as being one of the top ten cities to visit. Try not to miss it during your stay as you will not be disappointed.
