This beautifully presented cottage has been renovated and extended to welcome you on a joyful stay by the coast. Stepping inside you are welcomed into the living room, with comfortable seating on the leather armchairs and sofa which face the feature gas fire, which fills the house with heat as well as an atmospheric warm glow through the winter months. Step through to the kitchen, which is open plan with the dining area, you are bathed in light from the large glass roof lantern which is directly over the dining table. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, with everything you could wish for to create your favourite meals from scratch. For a special treat use fresh local seafood, if your adventurous you could even catch it yourself on a boat trip out the harbour.

Upstairs you have two bedrooms, the master kingsize bedroom as well as the second room which has a single day bed with a trundle underneath which can be made up as a twin on request. There is a generous sized bathroom with both a spa bath under a Velux window as well as a cubicle shower. The property is situated within a short stroll down from both the north and south bays as well as the town centre where you will find some excellent bars, restaurants, cafés and shops. Scarborough boasts two beaches, the North Bay and the South Bay, separated by the castle perched on the headland. The Marine Drive runs all the way along both the bays, making it a great place for a long leisurely walk along the seafront. The North Bay is the quieter of the two, whereas the South Bay has the traditional seaside amusements and fun fair.

In Scarborough you have many attractions including a popular waterpark with a fun splash pool and wave machine as well as an Alpine themed Spa. There is the wonderful Peasholm Park, one of the main attractions of Scarborough, with beautiful oriental gardens and a boating lake. You can hire rowing boats or pedalos. Elizabeth Cottage is a gorgeous terraced cottage situated in the picture-postcard village of Hinderwell, on the Yorkshire Coast. This dog-friendly cottage makes an idyllic retreat for two people in which to relax and unwind and take in all that the area has to offer. The cosy accommodation has been attractively furnished to offer guests a comfortable stay. The quirky living room has exposed brickwork and an open fire set within the original cast iron fireplace, a great space to curl up after a day exploring the coastline. There is also a Smart TV and DVD player for your entertainment. There is a staircase of two small flights of six steps separated by a small landing. It is a little steep but has a handrail. On the first floor the double bedroom has stripped wooden floors and a large window with seat. The comfortable bed, Hypnos mattress and crisp bedding ensures a good night’s sleep. The stylish bathroom with shower over bath completes this floor. Externally there is an enclosed, south-facing courtyard with a terraced patio and garden furniture. The Forge Valley Woodland Reserve lies ½ mile walk from the cottages and quiet lanes lead directly to Langdale Forest. Golf courses and riding stables are found locally and the more energetic might like to tackle the nearby Cleveland Way long distance footpath, with its stunning views over land and sea. The inviting moorland countryside and picturesque villages of ‘Heartbeat’ fame are a joy to explore and a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway is a must.
A 30-minute drive up the coast leads to the many delights of Robin Hood’s Bay and the old port of Whitby, a fascinating historic town, traditionally associated with Count Dracula and in whose attractive harbour tall ships often lie at anchor. The great houses of Sledmere, Burton Agnes and Castle Howard are all within 20 miles of the cottages.

Eldin Hall Cottages are set in a peaceful area and have been added more recently to the restored old Victorian waterworks. The beach at Cayton Bay is less than a mile away (2 miles by road) and just a little further up the coast is the popular seaside town of Scarborough. The resorts of Filey, Flamborough Head and Bridlington are just a short drive away. The walks along the clifftops are spectacular and form part of the Cleveland Way walk.
