Set all on the ground floor with ramped access, you enter into the spacious yet cosy open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen comes fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, washing machine and all you need to whip up everything from the simplest meal to a family feast! The living area has a gorgeous corner sofa, TV and gas wood burner, making this the perfect space to relax after a busy day exploring Exmoor. The bedrooms, each with a Smart TV, are located at each end of the apartment, with a twin bedroom at one end and a double bedroom at the other which has beautiful French doors leading to your private gravelled courtyard. The large bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet and light up mirror, there is also a second separate toilet. Outside, you have two private courtyard spaces, both of which are fully enclosed and have seating areas where you can sit back and relax or enjoy an al fresco meal. Your four legged family members are able to run around in this area. You also have use of the owner’s enchanting landscaped gardens that lead down to the River Barle, where you are able to spend time fishing as the owners have the rights to this part of the river! *Please keep your dogs on the lead in the main gardens due to the owner’s chickens and ducks.
When staying at Withymead Cottage, you are lucky enough to be staying in one of Exmoor’s most picturesque villages, with its river meandering through, a fabulous tea room, well stocked local shop and a 17th-century pub, it truly is the English countryside at its finest. Miles and miles of walks head off in every direction or jump in your car and discover more of the area, such as Tarr Steps or the beautiful north coast towns of Porlock and Lynton. For more history head to the Medieval village of Dunster and visit the Castle then jump on the West Somerset Steam Railway and chug along the coast and through the countyside.

You needn’t venture far with glorious countryside walks or cycle routes from the door along with a couple of good local Inns within a short distance from Otters Holt. The pretty town of Wellington is just a few miles away and offers a great range of independent shops, pubs and places to eat, as well as an award-winning park. Wellington was also named in The Times in 2021 as the 3rd best place to live in the Britain, and so is well worth a visit. If you do venture further afield you will be impressed by the abundance of great spots to visit, from the stunning natural beauty of Exmoor National Park to the wonderful Quantock Hills, and if fresh sea air is on your list the stunning North Devon Coast is within an hour’s drive and is ideal for surfing, kite surfing for the more adventurous!
The Jurassic coastline and picturesque seaside town of Lyme Regis with its independent shops, restaurants and fossil hunting opportunities is less than 1 hour drive. Further South the beaches and seaside towns of Exmouth, Sidmouth and Teignmouth are all within easy reach.

Crickledown is set in the village of High Ham, just 3 miles from Langport. The Somerset levels are easily accessible as are many of Somersets other attractions. The towns of Taunton, Yeovil and Glastonbury are reached in under 30 minutes by car, with the latter being of note for its ancient historical links and of course the Tor which can be seen from Crickledowns windows. National Trust properties abound nearby and a fun day out for the family can be had on the West Somerset Steam Railway which runs from Bishops Lydeard to the seaside town of Minehead. Moorlands is a wonderful holiday home located in the charming village of Chilcompton, refurbished in 2022 to provide luxurious accommodation, perfect for all the family!


Pull into your driveway where Moorlands awaits you, step inside the hallway where the vaulted double height ceiling floods the room with light. There is a piano and reading nook to be enjoyed here.

Heading outside, the extremely large garden is mainly laid to lawn, with 2 wonderful seating areas to enjoy. There is space for all the family to play endless games while around the side is a lovely vegetable garden which guests are welcome to use, and a hot and cold dog wash is provided for your convenience. A beautiful river runs around the garden of the property and care has been taken to enclose the garden, but children and animals should be supervised at all times.


Set between the cities of Bath and Wells, you will never tire of things to do while staying here! Bath with its fabulous architecture, riverside cafes, boutique shops and spas is a delightful day out, as is England’s smallest cathedral city of Wells with its outdoor market, cafés, and restaurants. Glastonbury is within easy reach with its ancient medieval charm and Tor, where you can see for miles and miles from the top. Head to Street’s designer outlet, Clarks Village, and grab a bargain. Just under 3 miles away you have the seaside town of Burnham on Sea with its many shops and eateries as well as the beach to explore. For some culture, you have the city of Bath with its historic centre and Roman architecture. The famous Cheddar Gorge is within a short drive where you will see mountain goats in the gorge or enjoy some locally made cheddar cheese!

A fantastic holiday home located just a short walk from Minehead’s town centre and beautiful seafront, with sandy beach and harbour, surrounded by shops and an award-winning Indian restaurant, 2-minute walk. Local pubs are a 5-minute walk giving you the option to leave the car on the driveway and explore on foot. Hire bikes, paddle boards and kayaks from Channel Adventures on the seafront.

Minehead Golf Course, founded in 1882, is Somerset’s oldest and is open all year round. Minehead is also a bustling seaside resort with plenty of things to do and there are many shops, bars, and restaurants to sample as well as three supermarkets within a 5-minute walk! Take time to explore, get lost and find hidden rivers, old-fashioned tea rooms and country pubs. The village of Dunster has its beach, plus its castle and cobbled streets are a must-do while here. Dunster by candlelight in December is a magical experience! Drive along the coast and spend time in Porlock, ride the cliff railway that links Lynton and Lynmouth or wander around Watchet. Exeter is just over an hour away and Taunton is 45 minutes. You’ll be spoilt for choice with things to do while staying at The Warblers! Beach ½ mile. Pub and restaurant ½ mile.

And nature lovers will be truly spoilt for choice too. Clevedon is a beautiful seaside town located in the cider loving county of North Somerset. Hosting spectacular countryside, incredible wildlife, the world’s second largest tidal range and the only Grade I Listed Victorian pier in the country, there are many things to see and do in the local area. The open plan living space is lovely and light with its sky light and beamed ceiling, comfortable sofas, and Smart TV. Wonderful for enjoying your morning coffee whilst watching Netflix or sitting in front of the log burner in the evening. The well-equipped kitchen has all the supplies you need as well as a coffee machine with a couple of complimentary pods.
On the ground floor you will find the kingsize bedroom as well as the family bathroom; head up the stairs through the open plan living space to the twin bedroom with two single beds. The barns can sleep up to four guests with an additional sofa bed for a child in the living room. Escape to these barn conversions that have been lovingly restored by the current owners in 2022, where you can indulge in the comfort offered.
This is a great area for walking or cycling along the North Somerset coast. The properties are directly on the brand new ‘Pier to Pier’ cycle track (open 2023) and this will give the opportunity to cycle between the piers in Clevedon and Weston-Super-Mare. The properties are about 700 yards from Clevedon Golf Centre where adults and children are always welcome to play, no booking necessary. The wider garden is shared with the other cottage, and is enclosed when the gate is shut. Clevedon has a lovely little harbour as well as a beautiful sea front with views across to Wales. There is a seawater lake used for swimming all year round (£1 honesty box charge). Other water-based activities are available (paddle boarding, sailing etc.) There is also an arcade, as well as a good number of cafés and pubs along the seafront. You can also visit Ladye Bay, a lovely, secluded pebble beach bay, which is within walking distance. The busier Weston-Super-Mare is only 10 minutes down the motorway, or a little bit longer along the cycle path. There is the Grand Pier with lots of arcades as well as a sandy beach. You can also be in the city of Bristol within 30 minutes.
