Old Farm is a stunning Barn conversion in Southwood, just outside of Glastonbury. Converted to an extremely high standard in 2021, it’s the perfect base from which to explore Somerset. Drive past the orchard and enter through the gates into your private driveway where Old Farm awaits you, through the large Oak front door the bright and airy living space opens in front of you to welcome you in. The central open plan living space has beautiful large doors opening to the garden, a wood burner for those cosy evenings and sumptuous furnishings to allow you to relax into whilst watching TV or chilling with a glass of your favourite tipple. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine as well as everything else you will need to whip up a fantastic dinner or just a simple breakfast. There is also a sitting room with large floor to ceiling windows, you can also sleep up to two extra guests on the sofa bed in here. Off the open plan living area you will find the fabulous bedrooms, both have double beds, hairdryers and en-suite bathrooms. Outside you have your private garden, with outdoor seating area and fantastic views across the fields.
There are fabulous walks in all directions that can be taken from the doorstep, whilst the towns of Glastonbury and Street are just under 15 minutes drive away. Glastonbury, famous for its festival and ancient legends, has a great mix of eclectic shops and larger stores whilst Street is well known for its outlet shopping centre, Clarks Village, where designer bargains are to be found! Within an hour’s drive you have a wealth of National Trust properties to explore as well as fun days out at the likes of Longleat and Haynes Motor Museum.

Within easy driving there is much to enjoy, with days out at perhaps a historical house such as Barrington Court (National Trust), Forde Abbey and Gardens, Montacute House and the imposing Dunster Castle. For family entertainment, an exciting day out at the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, the West Somerset Steam Fair for a trip back in time, or for the younger ones in the family, you will love Crealy Adventure Park, near Exeter. The Blackdown Hills themselves offer some superb country walking, wildlife, flying for the adventurous at Dunkeswell or simply enjoy the many local village pubs to wine and dine in. The moment you walk through the front door it has the wow factor, views across the lake and the surrounding countryside are just breathtaking. This beautiful, detached, spacious barn conversion is perfect for a family of six or a group of friends who want to get away from it all. The open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is perfect for gathering together, whether its around the warming wood burner or stepping outside onto the private patio area to enjoy some fresh air. The design of this property is very modern and just off the living room you have identical staircases leading to each side of the house, taking the right staircase will lead you one bedroom, whilst the left hand staircase takes you to two further bedrooms. This property accepts two dogs and your four legged friends are just going to be spoilt for choice when it comes to exploring and running around. There is stabling available for up to 3 horses, either as livery or DIY (by direct arrangement with the owner). Turn-out is also available, as well as food and bedding (fees apply). Location wise you’re in for a treat as Harewood Barn is set within the Exmoor National Park and just set back from Wimbleball Lake. The activity centre for Wimbleball Lake is a short walk from the property, and for the more active visitor there are miles of walking and cycling trails, archery, climbing and a fantastic range of water sports. To get on the water, visitors can either bring their own craft and pay a launch fee or hire kayaks, sailing boats, stand up paddle boards, windsurfs and rowing boats. For those who prefer a more relaxing visit there are plentiful meadows, woodlands and picnic areas, a great escape from modern life’s hustle and bustle.

Wimbleball is also a fantastic place for outdoor learning, whether it’s birdwatching, bushcraft or stargazing, there is always something special to see and do. This 530-acre site is one of Exmoor’s most popular tourist attractions, boasting the perfect blend of excitement and tranquillity. Dulverton is located 6 miles away and has a wide range of shops, restaurants and tea rooms. A visit to Tarr Steps and Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor, are some of the highlights. Other local attractions that may be of interest are the village and castle at Dunster, the West Somerset Railway at Minehead and the villages of Porlock Weir, Lynton and Lynmouth. The Dairy (UK38051) is beautiful cosy two-bedroom holiday home for up to 5 guests featuring a double-sided wood burner between the kitchen and lounge. It also features a games room with games console.


The Bungalow (UK38049) is a beautiful three-bedroom holiday home, featuring a large open plan kitchen/dining/living area with a convertable dining/pool table and a 85" TV The Bungalow boasts stunning uninterrupted views of Glastonbury Tor.


All properties are situated on the owner’s farm in a small village called West Pennard, which is 3½ miles from Glastonbury.


All properties offer comfortable bedrooms, some with en-suite facilities, great self-catering facilities and spacious living areas perfect for unwinding in after a busy day sightseeing.


Guests can enjoy their own walled/fenced garden areas for entertaining outside, with the added bonus of use of your own hot tub and shared use of the on-site tennis court.


Please note total privacy in the garden areas is not possible due to the location of properties in relation to each other on the site and the hot tub may not be fully up to the recommend temperature on the first night of your stay due to the need to empty and clean between guests.

Welcome to Holgates, refurbished in 2024 and beautifully presented, ensuring the perfect holiday in the Somerset countryside, just a mile from the Devon border. With a recently installed air source heat pump, solar panels on the property, ecological cleaning products and recycling of household waste, we take pride in our efforts to have as little impact upon the environment as possible, and we plan to continue improving.
Holgates is set on one level, accessed via the conservatory into the well-equipped kitchen/dining room, with wonderful views across the garden and fields beyond. In the living room is plenty of seating, an electric fire for cosy evenings and French doors opening onto the garden and views of the rolling hills. The inner hallway has a games table and leads to the two bedrooms and main bathroom. The master bedroom has a super kingsize bed, a TV and hairdryer. There is room for us to make up a cot. The second bedroom can be made up into a kingsize bed or two singles.
The enclosed garden has a terrace with table and chairs, as well as a coal barbeque, and you will find a selection of garden games in the conservatory. The hot tub offers the perfect spot for relaxing.
Situated on the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within easy reach of the Quantock Hills and Honiton. For family entertainment, head to the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, The West Somerset Steam Railway, or for the younger ones, visit Crealy Adventure Park near Exeter. The Blackdown Hills themselves offer some superb country walking, wildlife, flying for the adventurous at Dunkeswell Airdrome or simply enjoy the local village pubs. Within a 40-minute drive, visit the Jurassic Coast and the seaside town of Lyme Regis, and slightly further afield Weston Super Mare, or even Bath with its many restaurants, shops and museums. South Coast Devon beaches are just 18 miles away and the Somerset northern beach 26 miles.
By arrangement with the owner and at cost, stables and fields can be used for your horse, with hacking and bridlepaths close by.

Benefiting from its countryside setting, Moorleaze also affords easy access all year round and is within a short driving distance of many famous locations. Longleat is close by, as are Wookey Hole and the Yeovilton Aircraft and Haynes Motor Museums. Bath, designated a World Heritage Site, boasts many delights including the Roman Baths. Nearby Frome has even more listed buildings than Bath and hosts a renowned arts and music festival in early July. Salisbury, Wells, Glastonbury, Stonehenge and Avebury are also popular places to visit from Moorleaze. NT properties include the incomparable Stourhead, just minutes away. Walkers are spoilt for choice, from the local countryside to the splendour of the Mendips, including Cheddar Gorge. With its magnificent indoor pool, games room, tennis court, climbing frame and idyllic setting, The Sunday Times described Moorleaze as

Coachmans Close is a wonderful cottage in the heart of the quintessential countryside in the village of Milverton. The beautiful cottage is set on a secluded road, all on one level making it perfect for families of all ages. As you enter the driveway the cottage hugs the courtyard and private garden in an L shape. Through the front door to the hallway you have the living room to your left with its parquet flooring and open fire. From here you will find the fully-equipped kitchen benefitting from a Nespresso Coffe Machine (please note guests will need to bring their own pods), with wonderful views across the fields. One of the double bedrooms has views of the courtyard and a gorgeous shower room adjacent with a large walk-in shower with a fabulous rainfall shower head. The master bedroom has French doors which open onto the courtyard. Outside the courtyard has a seating area and the winding path leads to the lawned garden and views over the fields and hills ahead. To the side of the cottage, there is a veranda which is the perfect spot to watch the sunset from and views of the countryside. There are walks in every direction directly from the front door.
Milverton has a shop full of local produce and everything you need, as well as one gastro pub, both just a few minutes walk from the property. Further afield you have the market town of Taunton with its larger stores, restaurants and entertainment facilities such as cinema and bowling alley. For a fun day out why not spend the day riding the rails on the West Somerset Steam Railway from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead, spend a couple of hours by the sea before a leisurely chug back to base. Exmoor National Park is reachable in under 20 minutes’ drive with its miles and miles of walks, perfect for a day’s rambling. Beach 16 miles. Shop 350 yards, pub and restaurant 700 yards.
