Located in the very centre of this bustling seaside resort, Seaview House is just yards away from the seafront as well as being close to a number of bars, restaurants, shops and cafés. There are miles of beach to explore with lots of dog friendly sections for your furry friends. The bright lights of Blackpool are just 4 miles away and can be reached on foot following the promenade along the seafront. Here you’ll find its many attractions including, Blackpool Tower, Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Zoo. Just a few miles further will take you to the rolling sand dunes of Lytham St Anne’s and the cosmopolitan Lytham which holds annual events such as The Proms and a kite festival. Venture inland and you’ll find the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, known for its picturesque country villages, wonderful walking and friendly local pubs. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is also within easy reach as is the Lake District National Park.

Marrion House is set in the peaceful village of Overton, an historic fishing village, and 1 mile to Sunderland Point, surrounded by salt marshes between Lancaster and Morecambe. There are wonderful views of the Lancashire countryside and the Lake District fells in the distance.

Halsall is a pretty village in the heart of west Lancashire midway between the bustling market town of Ormskirk and the Victorian seaside resort of Southport. Cyclists and walkers can explore for miles along this part of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and golf enthusiasts can enjoy a game at Hesketh Golf Club which has stunning views over the Irish Sea or the world-renowned Royal Birkdale. For those who enjoy history and culture, the nearby city of Liverpool offers a wealth of museums, galleries, and historic buildings, including the famous Liver Building and the Liverpool cathedral. Aside from golf the seaside town of Southport offers miles of sandy beaches, traditional seaside attractions, and a bustling pier. It also hosts a number of annual events such as the famous Air Show, Southport Flower Show, and the British Musical Fireworks Championships. The beaches of Ainsdale and Formby are also easily accessible and then further afield, the city of Manchester and the Trafford Centre, Lancaster and the South Lakes can be reached in around an hour. Tucked away in the popular town of Lytham and just a few minutes’ walk from the picturesque coastline is the superb Honeybee Cottage. Golfers, be sure to pack your clubs as you’ll want to take advantage of Royal Lytham and Fairhaven Golf Club; or alternatively you can spend the day at neighbouring St Anne’s where you’ll find a Victorian pier, glorious sandy beach, and lively shopping centre. Further round the coast is the bustling seaside resort of Blackpool, home to the thrilling Pleasure Beach, Tower, Sandcastle Water Park, and Sea World to name but a few attractions. There’s also Blackpool Zoo which animal lovers are sure to appreciate.
Swapping the coast for countryside, the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is accessible in around an hour’s drive, as is the southern Lake District National Park. You really are spoilt for choice!

In central Blackpool yet tucked-away on a quiet residential side street away from the hustle and bustle is the wonderfully calm and serene Little Om. Upon entering the cottage you’ll find a beautifully presented living room with a double sofa bed, and a well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs is the master bedroom, with its peaceful décor and a sumptuous kingsize bed, pride of place together with the family bathroom. Four legged furry friends are welcome to stay, and there’s permit parking available for one car.
Blackpool needs little introduction and offers plenty to do for the entire family, with most of the action taking place around the popular promenade which stretches for 6 miles. Little Om is around a 10-minute walk from North Pier, meaning a vast majority of great attractions are easily accessible by foot. To name but a few, Madame Tussauds and SeaLife Blackpool are around a 20-minute walk, the famous Blackpool tower is 15 minutes, and the historic Winter Gardens around 10 minutes. The closest tram stop is North Pier which operates a regular service from Blackpool South right the way up to Fleetwood, meaning you can really travel in style.
Having so much to do and explore right on your doorstep, you’ll be hard pushed to know where to start. Pub within a mile.

Morecambe is a seaside resort with a sandy beach and long promenade. On the north end of the promenade, you can find Happy Mount Park, open all year round. A traditional park with an adventure playground, summer splash area, sports pitches, events, and cafe. On the southern end of the promenade an internationally renowned Art Deco hotel, designed by Oliver Hill and restored for the 21st century. Non-residents can enjoy sophisticated glamour, afternoon tea and classy cocktails here. For wetter days or evening entertainment, a bowling alley is located on Central Promenade with its ten bowling lanes, a restaurant and a bar. If you wish to venture further, historic Lancaster is a short drive away. Lancaster Castle is a must see, as is a visit to Willamson Park and Butterfly House. West End Bay is ideally located for a trip to Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland and of course The Lake District which are all areas of outstanding natural beauty. Beach ½ mile.

Heysham village boasts The Royal Hotel having a sound reputation for great food with a large outdoor bar and seating area to enjoy the summer months. There’s a couple of quaint tea rooms and Glebe Gardens in the grounds of St. Peters Church overlooking the bay is worth a visit. From the village, you can also walk to Half Moon Bay, a sandy beach with grass-covered dunes and low cliffs.

The Haven, a cosy and inviting cottage, is accessed via an external stone staircase. A small hallway leads to the elegant living room where you will find plenty of comfortable seating, an electric fire, and a Smart TV, perfect for cosy nights in after exploring the area. Across the hallway is the dining area with seating for four, as well as a sideboard with board games and a retro radio which also plays vinyl records. In the kitchen, there are all the modern conveniences, and the kitchen also leads to the outdoor seating area. A spacious master bedroom with a king size bed is located on the first floor, the room is elegantly furnished to enhance the original stained-glass windows, this room also has a Smart TV. The second bedroom is accessed via a low head height doorway, the children will love it, and adults will need to take care, this room has a double bed and plenty of storage. There is a WC on this floor plus a full family bathroom adjacent. The bathroom benefits from a shower cubicle, bath, WC and sink.

Outside there is plenty of seating for four, the perfect spot for enjoying a morning coffee or indeed a glass of your favourite tipple in the evenings.

Heysham was a quiet farming and fishing community until 1904 when Heysham Port opened. The village, dating back to Viking times, still has a historic old centre, a delightful maze of winding lanes and picturesque cottages. Discover ST Patrick’s 8th century chapel and iconic rock hewn graves on the dramatic headlands overlooking the bay. In the old centre of the village is Heysham Heritage Centre, housed in part of what was originally a long house it is an unusual example of surviving 17th century village architecture and tells the story of the village’s architecture and past industry in a series of exhibitions. Near the heritage centre there are two cafés, a quirky retro café serving a wide range of interesting cakes and lunches, and the other is known for its traditional homemade fudge. On the same road is a 16th century coaching inn that offers an extensive menu in its popular restaurant, real ales in the covered and heated garden bar. Beach is less than 1 mile away.
