Converted in 2022, these former stables hold a spectacular rural location surrounded by open countryside. Kings Barn is a lovely barn conversion which has been thoughtfully renovated in 2022 by the owner and offers guests space and comfort. Although it has retained some of its traditional features, it also has a modern and contemporary feel. On the ground floor is a living room with comfortable seating, Smart TV and patio doors which lead to the side of the property, a further reception room, again with comfortable seating and a Smart TV, a well-equipped kitchen/dining room and a utility room. A wonderful array of amenities and a selection of charming walks can be enjoyed straight from the front door. A short drive away is the lovely market towns of Lichfield and Ashbourne. Lichfield retains its original character with a beautiful cathedral, Samuel Johnson’s home, a centre dedicated to Erasmus Darwin, St Mary’s Centre (where the Staffordshire Millennium Tapestries are on permanent display) and wonderful places to stop and enjoy some food. The market town of Ashbourne is worth visiting, with its original cobbled lanes, old market stalls and grand Georgian buildings which are home to a good selection of restaurants, interesting shops and traditional coaching inns. Why not visit nearby Burton-upon-Trent? Here you can enjoy a fascinating day discovering the art of brewing beer, whilst the National Memorial Arboretum is just a short drive away.
