Whilst in the other direction visitors can enjoy the riverside market town of Woodbridge with a swimming pool and independent cinema, the ancient burial ground at Sutton Hoo (NT) and the Victorian seaside resort of Felixstowe. Located in the ever popular village of Pakefield near Lowestoft, Florence Cottage is an original fisherman’s cottage, wonderfully renovated by the owners. Lowestoft is the most easterly point in the UK and is known as the ’sunrise coast’. You are ideally located to explore the surrounding area, including Southwold, Aldeburgh, RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich and Walberswick for a spot of crabbing. For those looking for fun on the water, Oulton Broad is nearby, the southern gateway to the Norfolk Broads National Park, where fishing, day boats and riverside pubs and restaurants are the usual haunts of guests to the area. Situated in the grounds of the owners Grade II listed hall house which dates back to 1653, this detached cottage is elegantly furnished to a very good standard.
