Set in a quiet country lane this stunning detached listed barn conversion, adjacent to a property which is occasionally used by the owner, is perfect for a relaxing family holiday or celebration. Just a few minutes’ drive away is the historic market town of Framlingham, which has a range of interesting shops, restaurants and cafés, all housed in buildings of many ages, there is also a 12th century castle, a splendid example of Norman architecture. Conveniently placed to explore the delights of Suffolk, in one direction are the charming coastal towns of Aldeburgh, famous for its fish and chips and links with Benjamin Britten and Southwold, famous for its pier and colourful beach huts, Snape Maltings concert hall, Orford and the RSPB reserve at Minsmere. Whilst in the other direction visitors can enjoy the riverside market town of Woodbridge with a swimming pool and independent cinema, the ancient burial ground at Sutton Hoo (NT) and the Victorian seaside resort of Felixstowe. Set in the village of Kettleburgh, Red Barn Cottage is very close to the beautiful market town of Framlingham. Mentioned in the Doomsday Book, its 12th-century castle still stands, and visitors can walk the curtain wall and enjoy the fantastic views. A great family day out is Easton Farm Park, 2 miles, with plenty of family fun, including animal petting, indoor soft play and many more activities. It is also host to the Maverick Festival, held during early July, for the finest Americana music festival.
The Suffolk Heritage Coast is easily accessible by car, where you can visit Southwold, Aldeburgh and England’s most easterly point, Lowestoft. Suffolk is a walkers and cyclists, paradise with winding roads, chocolate box villages and stunning landscape. Sea and river fishing can be found within 10 miles. Available by request are small, medium and large dog crates, a help for anyone that wishes to save a lot of space in not having to transport them! Beach 15 miles. Rose Farm Cottage is hidden away on the outskirts of the village of Frostenden, close to Southwold in Suffolk. Wonderfully equipped with all you would need, the owner has taken great care to ensure you will thoroughly enjoy your break away. With a separate dining room, kitchen and living room, this detached house lends itself well to family getaways.

From Rose Farm Cottage you will find numerous walks around you, but it is also a fantastic base to explore the surrounding area including the Suffolk Heritage Coast, with the popular seaside towns of Southwold, Aldeburgh and Dunwich.

Inland, Beccles is a popular market town with excellent pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Beccles is also the southern entrance to the Broads National Park, and guests can rent day boats from the quay to explore this magical winding water land, with a few stops at riverside pubs a must! This delightful cluster of converted barns can be found deep in the Suffolk countryside, set in 80 acres of grazing meadows on the owner’s working beef farm where the owner lives. Henry’s Barn (ref UKC3168) is a semi-detached barn conversion and can accommodate up to six guests including two guests with restricted mobility, on the ground floor. The Old Dairy (ref UKC3169) is also part of a barn conversion ideal for a couple or small family. The Old Corn Mill (ref UKC3170) is another semi-detached barn conversion and has a large communal seating area, ideal if all properties are booked together, accommodating up to 16 guests.

Whilst offering holiday makers a cosy and comfortable stay, these 18th-century barns have retained much of their charm and character, and share use of an indoor heated pool which can be booked for private sessions, and is open from Easter to September (please bring your own towels). You are also ideally located to discover the Suffolk countryside locations of Framlingham and the infamous Castle on the Hill, the market town of Halesworth for a spot of retail therapy and the equally beautiful Beccles, a market town situated on the southern network of the Norfolk Broads National Park. Further inland is Easton Farm Park, a must for families, with an outdoor adventure area, animal meet and feed, beautiful walks and lots of nature to see including barn owls, kingfishers and otters, is 4 miles. Woodbridge on the banks of the River Deben, is 12 miles away, the National Trust Sutton Hoo is 13 miles away, and an ancient burial ground and several vineyards are all within easy reach. The open fire in the cosy living room makes Pebble Cottage perfect for romantic winter breaks with days walking the stunning Suffolk Heritage Coast, Aldeburgh Beach is only a 2-minute walk away. This is an old fisherman’s cottage with very steep stairs to the first floor leading to the master bedroom and a very small second bedroom. In the summer Aldeburgh is a hive of activity and a much sought after location. Its high street is filled with restaurants, pubs and shops. Along the promenade, fresh fish is sold from the beach huts that line the sandy stretch of beach - the iconic scallop shell sculpture standing proud in the centre, a tribute to Benjamin Britten, the composer famously affiliated with this beautiful part of the world. Surrounding Aldeburgh there is plenty to see and do and a short drive inland will bring you to Snape Maltings, the home of Aldeburgh Music. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there is a year round music programme. This unique location brings visitors outstanding concerts, events, cafés, galleries, river trips and much more. Cats Cottage is a delightful, semi-detached property situated just yards from the beach in the village of Kessingland. Tucked away on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, you are perfectly located to either explore or simply stroll along the beach with your four-legged friend in either the spring, summer or winter.
