Set on the outskirts of one of Worcestershire’s most beautiful villages, Elmley Castle, nestling below the northern slopes of Bredon Hill in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Lodge at Elmley Meadow is situated on a small holding with sheep and chickens, and is attached to the discreet and friendly owners’ home, with views to Bredon Hill. It is an ideal property for all the family including your four-legged friends, who have use of an enclosed field in the owners’ grounds. The property is on an 18-mile cycle route known as ’around the hill’ which encircles Bredon Hill and goes through local villages, there are several footpaths in the area, including one which starts at the property, at the end of the drive.
The village of Elmley Castle has a beautiful tree lined main street with many black and white and old red brick cottages, with a pub at the end which is only half a mile from the lodge. The 11th-century Norman and Medieval castle, where the village derives its name, has long since disappeared but the earthworks still remain in the nearby deer park. The nearby market towns of Pershore and Evesham have a range of shops, restaurants and pubs and are only 3 and 5 miles away, and can also be accessed by the local bus route which departs from outside the village pub.
Within 8 miles you can find yourself in the Cotswolds where you can visit beautiful towns and villages including Broadway, 8 miles, Moreton-in-Marsh, 17 miles, and Stow-on-the-Wold, 19 miles, where you can find quaint high streets and fantastic eateries. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and down a quiet lane away from the main road, this lovely cottage dates back to 1871 and was originally owned by the Duke of Northampton, who used the property for his land agent. Ashby Cottage was separated from Ashby House in the early 1970’s to form a separate residence. The cottage boasts traditional features such as an original baker’s oven and attractive mullion windows.

Long Compton is situated in the beautiful Cotswolds in south Warwickshire close to the borders of both Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. The village is located approximately half way between Oxford and Stratford upon Avon and is within easy reach of both. The church dates back to the 13th century, and the lychgate to the 17th century. Visit the award-winning pub, which was built as a coaching inn in 1748 and is situated only 300 yards from the cottage. For golfers, there are two excellent courses close by, and for horse riders, guests will find an excellent riding school. Bikes are available to hire from Morton-in-Marsh.

Only one mile away stands the ancient Rollright Stones, just waiting for you to explore, dating from around 2000BC. Long Compton is a walker’s paradise with the MacMillan Way passing by the village. Ashby Cottage is an ideal base to explore the beautiful Cotswolds villages and towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton, Chipping Campden, Hook Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh, Broadway, Snowshill, Bourton on the water, Burford and Woodstock to name a few.

A little further away stands Blenheim Palace and Oxford to the south, and a 30-minutes’ drive north will take you to the famous, historical town of Stratford-upon-Avon, fondly known as Shakespeare country. There is a number of wonderful National Trust properties within an hour’s drive, including Baddesley Clinton, Charlcote Park and Snowshill Manor. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

Set in a gated courtyard, Monastery Barn has been presented to a very high standard with many period features including beams throughout the ground floor. All rooms in this property overlook the walled English country garden which has two patios where you can sit and dine, a secret seating area and is subtly illuminated at night so you can enjoy the warmer evenings with a gin and tonic. The dining room opens into the conservatory which boasts another seating area and flows into the large kitchen and the cosy living room. Upstairs, there are 3 beautifully decorated bedrooms, the master has an en-suite bathroom and there is a family bathroom too.
This is a great property for a short break or extended holiday as there is much to see and do in the area. Shutford has a lovely village pub and is a short distance from both Banbury and Chipping Norton. Explore sleepy villages of honey-coloured stone and lively market towns; visit stunning palaces, castles and country houses; walk along rural historic trails, footpaths and bridleways to explore ancient woodlands and wild flower meadows. Locally produced cheeses, meats and drinks can be sampled at the gastro pubs and inns, traditional cafés and fine dining restaurants within a 20 mile radius of Monastery Barn.
There is a wealth of visitor attractions and leisure activities in the area including Blenheim Palace, British Motor Museum, Broughton Castle and gardens, Hook Norton Brewery, Daylesford Organic Farm, Soho Farmhouse, Rollright Stones and Silverstone Race Circuit. Situated on the owner’s working farm surrounded by fields and beautiful countryside is this lovely spacious two-bedroom cottage in Oxfordshire. Step out of the front door, and you have immediate access to the popular Deddington 12-mile circular walk, perfect for dog walkers/those who like to keep fit. Less than 30 minutes away lies Blenheim Palace, in the town of Woodstock, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and home of the Blenheim Horse Trials. In the opposite direction, why not sample Sulgrave Manor (ancestral home of the family of George Washington) or Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, situated next to a forest - or divert to shop at designer boutiques in the highly acclaimed Bicester Village Outlet Centre.
A little farther afield, but still within easy driving distance, lie the university city of Oxford, the ancient town of Warwick, Leamington Spa and the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Commonly referred to as Shakespeare’s Stratford, this is the perfect opportunity to visit many historic attractions including the Birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and the world famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

The Lodge at the Old Windmill is situated in the grounds of the owners Grade II listed historic windmill. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and a lovely duckpond that you can enjoy whatever time of the year, especially in the summer when you can make use of the BBQ and seating area in the sunshine. The open plan living area, dining and kitchen offers spacious accommodation, and the dining table can also be converted into a full-size pool table, perfect for a little competition between family and friends. The well-equipped kitchen provides everything you need for your stay to rustle up a hearty breakfast or evening meal, although with an array of pubs in the village, you may want to take advantage of being waited on! The kingsize bedroom boasts a shower en-suite, but should you want a relaxing soak in the bath after a day of exploring, then the roll top bath in the bathroom is a great choice.
The village of Inkberrow where the Lodge is situated, is said to be the inspiration for Ambridge in the long running Radio 4 Classic "The Archers" and the pub has memorabilia adorning the walls for all to see. There are a few pubs in Inkberrow offering simple snacks to gastro dining and the village is also served by a local award-winning shop and post office offering a wide choice of provisions. It’s also a great base for exploring the area by foot or by bike as there are many footpaths around the village, county lanes and bridleways. It’s located in the heart of Worcestershire’s gently rolling countryside close to the border of Warwickshire.
There are many great places to visit including the Cathedral City of Worcester and Stratford Upon Avon both 13 miles away, made famous as William Shakespeare’s birthplace and has many attractions to visit in the town. Visit Coughton Court, one of the great Tudor Houses and Ragley Hall Park and Gardens, both 5 miles away. Other local towns worth visiting include Alcester, 6 miles, Pershore, 10 miles and Evesham, 8 miles. It’s also a great base to take trips to the Cotswolds, Birmingham, Wales and the West Country.

The Steps is a fabulous and characterful cottage right in the heart of the village of Kineton, Warwickshire.

There are many country walks from the door including into the nearby village of Little Kineton where you can buy local produce from the nursery and visit the village duck pond. Local days out include visits to Compton Verney, under two miles away where you can discover the art gallery with its many collections and exhibitions and enjoy the park with its labyrinth, bird hide, pond dipping and playground. For more outdoor fun, head to Burton Dassett Hills the perfect country park for walks, flying a kite or eating a picnic whilst admiring the views of rolling hills and open countryside. The National Trusts Upton House and Gardens, Charlecote Park, Farnborough and Hidcote are all within easy reach. The stunning towns and villages of the North Cotswolds can be reached in just over ten minutes where you can explore Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold or Woodstock, home to Blenheim Palace.
Within 20 minutes’ drive are the market towns of Banbury and Royal Leamington Spa which are full of high street and independent shops, pubs, cafés, and restaurants. Also a similar distance is Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick with its famous castle and Bicester Village, famous for its shopping village.

A little further is the Royal town of Leamington Spa where you can visit Victoria Gardens, Warwick with is famous castle and Shakespeare’s Stratford Upon Avon.
