Venture to the idyllic market town of Skipton and uncover the gateway to the Dales, before continuing to Hebden Bridge, famously used in the filming of the popular BBC series ‘Happy Valley’. Within reach by car is the popular town of Harrogate, a historic town filled with attractions for the whole family, and the inviting spa town of Ilkley.

Just a short walk through adjacent fields will bring you to the Olive Branch Inn with its relaxed atmosphere, fine dining and outdoor seating to take in the beautiful views. The property is burrowed amidst the National Trust Marsden Moor Estate; guests will be spoilt for choice with more than 5000 acres to explore. Whether you prefer to explore the landscape on foot, by bike or through the lens of a camera there are plenty of things to see and do. The rugged landscape and steep climbs are the perfect challenge for keen mountain bikers, while others might prefer to wander alongside the water’s edge of the canal and retrace ancient packhorse trails to Standedge Tunnel with it’s fascinating Visitor Centre – where you can learn about the longest, highest and deepest canal tunnel in Britain. Marsden Train station can be reached on foot or just a few minutes drive away and offers easy access to Manchester (36mins) and Leeds (45mins) for that Big City vibe.

Harewood House, just 15 minutes away, is a fantastic day out offering impressive art collections, a magnificent, rare bird garden and 100 acres of exquisite gardens to explore. Bolton Abbey can be reached in around a 20-minute drive and offers 30,000 acres of beautiful countryside to explore.
