Nestled into the hillside, soak up the stunning views that this unique landscape has to offer; an indulgent and memorable break for two. The hut is named after ‘Flossy’ the dog that was given to Anne Brontë by the family for whom she served as governess, and is ideally situated, surrounded by fields and countryside views enjoying direct access onto the ‘Pennine Way’ and many famous walks including The Brontë Way, Millennium Way, The Railway Children Trail, Top Withens’ and Brontë Falls.
    Inside the hut, you are greeted by an open-plan design oozing luxury adorned with antique treasures incorporating the living space with a cosy log-burner, a comfy kingsize bed with storage and a fully fitted kitchen and dining area. An oak door leads to a family bathroom benefitting from a shower and wall-mounted heated towel rail.     Bronte country is also nearby, offering lots of wonderful walking routes across the moors and, for those keen on cycling, why not try a section of the Tour de France route that runs through Keighley and Haworth? For a more relaxing way to explore the area, hop on the Worth Valley Steam Train from Keighley Station, which takes you on a 5-mile journey through the Haworth moors and on to Oxenhope, once home to the Bronte sisters. The village of Haworth, 8 miles, is well worth a visit with its pretty cobbled streets lined with bunting and old-fashioned windows giving you a glimpse of the wares within. There is an array of antique shops, independent bookstores, pavement cafés and restaurants, plus the Bronte Parsonage Museum.
    The market town of Skipton, also known as ‘The Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales’, 15 miles, is another great day out and can be easily accessed by the train station located at the end of the road, with its tempting selection of bars and restaurants, a medieval castle and bustling street markets. You can also take a stroll along the Leeds & Liverpool canal that runs through, or simply watch the barges chug through from a bar overlooking the water. Finally, slightly further afield a 30 minute drive will take you to the edge of the Peak District National Park and everything it has to offer, the shopping centres of both Meadowhall and White Rose, or the bright lights of the city of Sheffield in 40 minutes.     Dating back to the 17th Century, Hob Cote is a superb semi-detached stone built cottage in a peaceful and picturesque location just 1-mile from artsy Hebden Bridge. Completely renovated throughout in 2021, the cottage and surrounding grounds are simply stunning and come complete with private hot tub. Inside you’ll find beamed ceilings, an impressive stone fireplace boasting a wood burner and stylish wooden panelling to the walls.     The location in Midgehole is semi-rural and on the edge of the National Trust owned beauty spot of Hardcastle Crags. Here you can stroll amongst woodland, waterfalls and streams and visit the café at Gibson Mill which offers a range of snacks. Countless other public footpaths are available in the area including the picturesque river path down into Hebden Bridge, which was the UK’s first ‘walkers are welcome’ accredited town. In Hebden Bridge you’ll find a bustling collection of independent shops, bars and cafés as well as a 1920’s Art Deco cinema and a live music venue. Hebden Bridge train station is in the centre of the town and offers a direct service to both Manchester, 30 minutes, and Leeds, 60 minutes, and both the Peak District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks can be reached in around an hours drive.
    Due to the age of the property it should be noted that head height is restricted through some doorways; and the stairs are not suitable for guests with restricted mobility, or young children. The stairs are steep, open sided and the treads are not consistent in size.
