If you can bare to tear yourself away there is plenty to do within a few miles, from visiting the stunning Cathedral City of Salisbury or taking in the sights of the iconic Stonehenge or Avebury rings.

This delightful one bedroom property, built in 2014, is a detached single storey annexe in the grounds of the owner’s larger property with views over undulating Wiltshire countryside. Parking is shared with the owner in the main drive and a well-lit 37m public footpath leads from the main drive to the rental property. The property has its own small garden area and an aspect that faces away from the owner’s house. With a footpath adjacent to the house there is access to open countryside right from your doorstep.
Inside is light, spacious and airy with a wood burning stove and newly fitted kitchen. The owner has furnished the property in a simple yet stylish fashion with good quality dining table, sofa and chairs. All is open plan and the light from various windows creates a charming airy feel. There is one bedroom and a bathroom with toilet.

The main house is a unique, Grade II listed, Georgian manor house nestled in 25 acres of Wiltshire countryside. This beautiful detached property features a games room in the basement, a ’secret’ walled garden and well-equipped accommodation for families, friends or couples who enjoy holidaying together, and with 9 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, this makes the ideal choice. Set in private grounds, this charming house has a modern, eclectic, English country decor theme throughout. For those who prefer ground floor accommodation, there is a double bed in the library, which has an en-suite, with a shower and toilet. This shower room has also been designed as a place for washing down your four-legged friends after country walks. The kitchen centres around an Aga, and has a farmhouse-style table, along with all the facilities needed to enjoy a self-catering holiday. On the first floor, known as the Georgian Wing, there are 5 bedrooms, all with a private bathroom. Two of these have super kingsize, timber beds, two have zip and link super kingsize beds, and the other has 2 single beds with matching trundle beds, sleeping up to 4. This room has use of the bathroom just across the landing, while the other 4 bedrooms have en-suites. The Victorian Wing was originally designed as a nursery and servant’s quarters, which has now been made into a further 4 bedrooms, each with their own en-suite. Each of these rooms consist of a super kingsize zip and link beds, two of which are typically set up as twin beds and two as super kings. Guests can enjoy exclusive use of the grounds, which include a walled ’secret’ garden next to the house. There is also a large lawned area for outdoor dining, sunbathing, reading and relaxing. For those who enjoy a walk, there is a 1.5km woodland path behind the house. To the front of the house, an additional large lawned area can be used for games with the children. For those who may be celebrating a special occasion, or perhaps looking to treat yourself, a private chef can be arranged to cook some or all meals during your stay (by arrangement with owner, at cost). There is also a 1-bedroom annexe called The Nook which is also available on the Henge Estate and can be booked under a separate listing.
If you fancy venturing out, Stonehenge is just over 5 minutes’ away, and Salisbury is just over 20 minutes’. The local village is half a mile away and has a convenience store, a pub serving local ales and a restaurant. There are many places to visit within easy reach including Bath, Marlborough, Winchester, Southampton and Shaftesbury. For those who enjoy history, visit Stonehenge, Woodhenge, Durrington Walls, Avebury Henge and stone circles, Alexander Keiller Museum, Andover Iron Age Museum, and many castles dotted around the area. Longleat Safari and Adventure Park, Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World and Finkley Down Farm are within reach, and for those who enjoy outdoor activity, they can book horse riding, fishing, art, golf, festivals and markets, there is plenty within a short drive. This single-storey holiday lodge stands detached in the owners’ grounds with a private enclosed patio and sitting out area. It is ideally located in the heart of Wiltshire and only 200 yards from the Kennet and Avon Canal, ideal for walking and cycling along the towpath and enjoying the various tea shops and pubs along the way. Only a few miles to the historic market town of Devizes, with its array of shops, eateries, amenities, and the famous flight of 29 canal locks. The cities of Bath and Salisbury are within half an hours drive, as are Stonehenge, and the picturesque villages of Lacock and Castle Combe. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 20 yards.

These delightful properties, converted into comfortable holiday cottages, stand in the grounds of the owners’ working farm (care needed with children) and equestrian centre (guests can bring own horse or pony by arrangement). The Granary (ref W43949) is a spacious barn and has been restored, taking care to use many of the original features and characteristics of its original life as a granary – the beams, the grain bag pulley system and other unknown objects have been put to good use. Both The Coach House (ref 15661) and Hog Pits (ref 18961) are all on one level and have a cosy woodburner. They all have an enclosed garden with lovely views over the countryside. The chickens and pigs are a delight to watch in their free range enclosures. This is the perfect holiday base from which to explore the many attractions Wiltshire has to offer – just 5 miles from the M4 yet in a completely rural setting. There are many footpaths and cycle routes in the surrounding area, with the Wiltshire and Berkshire canal towpaths also nearby. Within a short drive are the picturesque villages of Lacock and Castle Combe, both favourite locations for TV and film directors. Lacock features in Harry Potter, Downton Abbey and Pride and Prejudice, and Castle Combe was the backdrop for War Horse. Chippenham is an old market town with good shopping facilities and Devizes is on the Kennet and Avon canal with the famous Caen locks. Bradford on Avon is often referred to as a ‘mini Bath’ with splendid Georgian architecture and a bustling community. The Roman spa city of Bath itself is a short drive and a must visit for a day out, with many famous sights to explore such as the museums, the abbey, Pulteney Bridge and the Roman baths to name but a few. Bowood House has magnificent gardens and adventure playground, and the famous ancient sites and stone circles at Stonehenge and Avebury are well worth a visit. Explore Bristol, Bath, Longleat House and Safari Park and a wealth of restaurants and gourmet pubs. Nearby lakes and cycle paths provide ideal opportunities for walking, cycling and observing nature. Set in a peaceful rural location on the borders of Dorset and Wiltshire, this holiday property is situated on Whitebridge Farm, which is not a working farm but is ideal for a family touring holiday with excellent walking and cycling in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Set in 10 acres along with 8 other cottages, they are grouped around an attractive grassed courtyard and were once stables for the owner’s impressive farmhouse (built in 1872). Within the grounds, adjacent to the main car park, is a grassed children’s playground area (for under 12s only), and there is a field adjacent to the property that is ideal for walking dogs.
