These lovely, semi-detached barn conversions are situated just outside of the medieval cathedral city of Salisbury, and close to the iconic prehistoric stone circle of Stonehenge, which stands on the grassland of Salisbury Plain. This is a great base for families or groups wanting to explore this part of the country, as there is so much to see and do. It is only 30 minutes to the coast with the lovely sandy beaches of Bournemouth, or there are plenty of sites and National Trust areas with beautiful walks and lovely bike rides in the New Forest, you will be spoilt for choice.
The Old Stables are situated within their own grounds and form part of a collection of four newly, and stylishly converted barns. The walks that surround them are widely renowned to be some of the best in the area and include Bentley walks with its famous Bluebell display, Hound Wood, and Blackmoor Copse with its many deer that roam and nature ponds.
The Old Stables 1 (ref UK32045) is mainly on one level, with just one bedroom on the first floor with a vaulted ceiling and traditional oak A-frame beams, all other rooms are on the ground level, with open plan living, dining and kitchen. With York stone flooring throughout and terracotta tile in the kitchen area to create a comfortable rustic feel. There is a vaulted ceiling and beautiful oak beams.
The Old Stables 2 (ref UK35616) is set over two floors consisting of an open plan living, dining, and kitchen areas on the ground floor and two bedrooms and a shower room on the first floor.
The Old Stables 3 (ref UK35690) offers wonderful open plan living/kitchen/dining room along with two stunning bedrooms and a splendid bathroom. Set in a peaceful rural location on the borders of Dorset and Wiltshire, this holiday property is situated on Whitebridge Farm, which is not a working farm but is ideal for a family touring holiday with excellent walking and cycling in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Set in 10 acres along with 8 other cottages, they are grouped around an attractive grassed courtyard and were once stables for the owner’s impressive farmhouse (built in 1872). Within the grounds, adjacent to the main car park, is a grassed children’s playground area (for under 12s only), and there is a field adjacent to the property that is ideal for walking dogs. There are 2 x 120 KW fast charges that have been installed within a 7-minute walk of Whitebridge Farm. They can be found on the grounds of an award-winning deli where you can enjoy a leisurely coffee or lunch whilst your car is charging.

Both the South Wiltshire and Dorset cycle ways pass nearby and there are numerous waymarked walks, including the half-hour Shaftesbury town trail, which leads to the famous Gold Hill, with its magnificent views. Many historic houses in the area, including Stourhead (National Trust). An hour’s drive leads to Salisbury, Bath, Cheddar and Weymouth. Visit Stonehenge, and then the ancient Avebury Stone Circle. For rambling, horse riding and cycling there is a good network of bridle and footpaths in the area. A truly rural spot, yet just one mile from the A303 and easy access to the many sights and attractions within the area including Stonehenge with its mystical stone circle, Avebury stone circle and Salisbury with its cathedral. The shopping town of Shaftesbury is within 20 minutes, where visitors flock to see the famous cobbled ‘Gold Hill’. The small towns of Tisbury and Hindon have local amenities and good pubs, both within 2 miles. The seaside resort of Bournemouth is just 40 miles, and the New Forest within an easy drive. It is also a convenient base for visiting Bath, Bristol, Stourhead, Longleat House and Safari Park, Wilton House and grounds, and the south coast. Golf courses nearby. Beach 40 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub 1 mile and restaurant 200 yards.
