Tamarisk is an architecturally designed holiday home can be found in the peaceful village of Cliffe which provides easy access to both York and Selby. Offering family accommodation this detached bungalow really does offer the WOW factor allowing friends and family to come together and enjoy this beautiful part of Yorkshire. Tamarisk offers discerning guests the opportunity to relax and enjoy this incredibly spacious bungalow with wonderful garden, private hot tub, and delightful views over the countryside. To offer guests maximum comfort the four bedrooms comprise three with kingsize beds and one with single bunk beds. Bedding is of high quality with 5* hotel style duvets and 180 thread count sheets for a relaxing night’s sleep. Two of the bedrooms offer direct access out to the garden and patio area. The open plan living/dining room is very spacious and benefits from vaulted ceilings. In the living area, with industrial style décor, the large double height window and patio door offers unique views and access into the garden. With the benefit of a wood burner, whether it be day or night, summer or winter, everyone can come together and enjoy quality time. The dining area has table seating for eight guests. To the rear of the bungalow the large conservatory has underfloor heating, deep-filled, comfy sofas and a 42" Smart TV which provides an additional space for relaxation. A gentle stroll will bring you to the local village pub where you can mix with the locals whilst enjoying a relaxing drink. A little further afield is the historic walled City of York which offers over two thousand years of history and the cathedral town of Selby. Carr House farmhouse is set on a working farm, but only minutes away from the attractions of Scarborough and only 1½ miles from the well known surfing beach at Cayton Bay, which also welcomes dog walkers throughout the year. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the large landscaped gardens with a summerhouse, apple trees and barbecue, with a perimeter fence making it ideal for both children and pets. This detached farmhouse is ideal for touring the North Yorkshire coast, from Whitby in the north to Bridlington in the south. This glorious barn conversion has been meticulously designed and restored to create a luxurious holiday some for families and friends to enjoy. The Owl Barn is in a secluded spot, at a Hobby Farm within the owner’s grounds, there are chickens, turkey’s and ducks on site – Children are welcome to help with egg collection. Up to two well behaved dogs (kept on leads) are welcome (more dogs can be agreed with the owner before booking) and there are also dog kennels provided adjacent to the property in a shady spot, if you wish to go out for the day, sole use for Owl Barn guests. An enclosed horse paddock is also available for dogs to run free, horses accepted by request and private arrangement. Perfect for nature lovers, the owner offers access to a tranquil private nature walk within their grounds. Where you can enjoy the local nature. There is a pond and river at the end of the grounds, so please pay attention to warning signs and always supervise children and dogs. There are owl boxes in the trees with fitted cameras, which you will soon be able to view.
Conveniently placed, in the Norfolk village – Saham Toney, next door to an 18 hole Golf course and within a 5-minute drive to Watton, for all essential shops. Local pub within 1 mile. If you would like to explore the local area, Thetford Forest for high lodge forest adventure, Go Ape high ropes course and lots of great cycling and walking routes are just a 30-minute drive. The unspoilt Ceredigion Coastal Path takes you over cliffs and through ancient woodland. The paths offer excellent walking opportunities and connect all the local beaches, many of which are dog friendly all year round if you are bringing your four-legged friend.
Delightful New Quay is also 2¼ miles away with its picturesque houses, pubs and restaurants. The town clings to the side of the hills rising above the blue waters of Cardigan Bay. It’s easy to understand why this area was such an inspiration to poet Dylan Thomas when he lived here. Often bottlenose dolphins can be spotted, and in season, dolphin survey boat trips are available from the sheltered harbour, or you can just enjoy the sandy beach, have an ice cream or fish and chips and watch the boats bobbing about.
Visit the colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron, the ancient town of Cardigan with its castle, or Aberystwyth with its promenade and pier, home to the world’s longest working electric cliff railway.

Local attractions include many National Trust properties, the medieval town of Shrewsbury, conveniently placed along the River Severn, and Offa’s Dyke path which runs close to the property. Llangollen with its steam railway, horse drawn barges, white water rafting and motor museum is a 20-minute drive. The market towns of Oswestry and Welshpool are within 15 minutes’, while Chester and Shrewsbury are just 30 minutes’ away by car, and all offer a large array of shops and restaurants for guests to enjoy.

Polean Farm Cottages are located in Cornwall, down green lanes, off the Looe to Polperro road, just outside the village of Pelynt. The farm is set amongst rolling farmland and is less than 2 miles from the sea. All of the cottages are full of character and provide a cosy home-from-home. They have all been converted from original farm buildings which date back to the 18th century.
The Old Farmhouse (ref UK12895) is a historical, semi-detached farmhouse which has been tastefully renovated and is perfect for a large family get together or for two families to holiday together.
Little Owls Cottage (ref UK12896) is a detached barn named after the owls that still live in the nesting boxes around the building which can sometimes be heard at night. It is set in its own garden with glorious views across the farm and towards the village of Pelynt.
Rosebud Cottage (ref UK12897) and Shires Rest (ref UK12899) are pleasant, beamed cottages with lovely countryside views. Before being converted, both cottages were used to store hay in the winter and you can still see many of the original features.
Threpney Cottage (ref UK12898) is an imaginatively converted ’roundhouse’ and is full of character. The cottage was named after the old twelve sided three penny piece due to its shape.
Twinkles Cottage (ref UK12900) is a charming and spacious ‘upside down’, beamed cottage, with great views across the farm and surrounding countryside.
Waggoners Cottage (ref UK12901) is a delightful single-storey cottage, with its own garden and views of the front fields and the children’s play area at the rear. The cottage was named after the wagons that used to be stored in it and you can still see many of the original features of the barn.
The Mealhouse (ref UK12902) was originally used to store the feed or ‘meal’ for the pigs that resided in the pig sty which can still be seen across from it. The Mealhouse is detached and set slightly apart from the other cottages, offering uninterrupted views across the farm.
Polean Farm provides the perfect destination for a family holiday. The farm offers animal feeding each week day morning, where you may help bottle feed lambs (seasonal) and hand feed pigmy goats and chickens, as well as enjoy pony or tractor rides! The farm is also a working livery yard and children and parents often enjoy visiting the horses and ponies each day.
Guests have free use of an indoor heated swimming pool just a few minutes’ drive away. It’s perfect for families and children who want to splash around or those wanting to put in a few lengths and keep fit. Guests are also welcome to make free use of the nightly entertainment at the same local holiday complex which is just a few minutes’ drive from the farm. The entertainment is on every night and includes children’s entertainment, followed by grown up entertainment with top musicians, performers and comedians regularly appearing throughout the season. Children are allowed in the venue for the whole evening. Please note, the pool is not available during August due to overcrowding, and entertainment is not available November-March (except during school holidays). During the summer the West Highland steam train, as seen in Harry Potter Films, passes close by enroute to Mallaig, where ferries depart for Skye and the small isles. Less than a 10 minute easy walk to the beach, boasting a private hot tub, underfloor heating downstairs and four en-suite bedrooms, The Pink House is the ultimate luxurious coastal retreat boasting homeliness and charm which can be felt upon approaching the property, and this continues to the inside.
