Bee Keepers Cottage is located on a working farm on the edge of Derbyshire’s Peak District, the cottage overlooks the 18 hole golf course at Shirland Golf and country club where visitors day passes are available.

The cottage has beautiful rural views and offers guests the peace and quiet of rural living yet within easy access of local attractions and transport networks, and there is a golf course boarding the property’s grounds and miles of footpath networks adjacent to the farm.

The accommodation at Bee Keepers cottage is spaced over a single storey and offers light, bright accommodation with beautiful gardens and views of the rolling Derbyshire countryside.

Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall and Crich tramway museum are a short drive away. Local towns include Matlock, Bakewell and Chesterfield. Derby and Nottinghamshire are a 20-minute drive.

The location is popular with walkers who enjoy the beautiful walks and trails straight from the doorstep.

All accommodation is on the ground floor. The Large modern kitchen/dining area to seat 6 and opens out onto the living area with Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric eye level oven, built in microwave, induction hob, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Two bedrooms have king size beds, and the third a single bed, and there is a family bathroom with bath and shower above – there is also an additional shower room with quadrant shower cubicle, toilet and basin.

Outside there are two seating areas, a BBQ, gardens and plenty of off-road parking.

Guests are welcome to visit the horses in the barn next to the property (prior arrangement with the owner), please supervise children for their safety.

Upon entering the property, you are greeted by a very welcoming dining room with a beamed ceiling and connected directly to a lovely open plan kitchen with a fantastic, homely feel. Relax and unwind in the very comfy sofas after a long day exploring the Jurassic Coastline. The property has access onto a private and very beautiful cottage garden where you can relax and enjoy nature at its finest. For the walkers and wildlife lovers amongst us, the Jurassic coastline offers miles of stunning walks to places such as Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Studland Bay. Further afield, you can visit Poole Harbour, The Blue Pool, historic Wareham and the second largest natural harbour in the world, a day out at the Tank Museum and a day enjoying Monkey World. There is so much to do and explore.
Back at the property, relax in the courtyard garden, gaze up at the stars and enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple whilst discussing your next adventures.

Situated in a quiet rural location, Bardon Lodge is a spacious property attached to the owner’s home and set within 10 acres of grounds. The property is surrounded by fields and woodland, yet close enough to all amenities. The property has been decorated and furnished to a very good standard and is all on one level with both bedrooms having en-suite facilities. There is a living room with patio doors which lead to the decking area, ideal for dining al fresco. The sitting room also has patio doors leading out to the garden. The owner has horses and free range chickens may even come and visit!
There are so many places to visit and so easy to get to. Take a trip to Totnes where there are many shops, markets and walks along the riverbank. Dartmoor is just a short car ride where you can see the ponies, walk the Tors or simply stop off in one of the many villages for a Devon cream tea. Paignton, Torquay and Brixham are also great places to visit, as are Exeter and Plymouth, both within 30 minutes’ drive. There are many National Trust properties including Agatha Christie’s summer home ’Greenway’, well worth a visit. For the children, there is Crealy Adventure park, or Go Ape in Haldon. If you are bringing a bicycle, there are many cycle ways off road to be explored, including Powderham Castle where there is a cycle track all along the estuary. The Cider Barn is decorated and furnished to a very high standard by the owners who have years of experience in the hospitality industry, and the attention to detail is evident in every room.
Downstairs is a fabulous open plan living space, with wonderful Bi-folding doors that open to allow the outside in and giving you great views over the Blackdown hills. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need and the island unit opens it up to the rest of the room, so you can socialise while creating your next culinary masterpiece! The large Master bedroom on the ground floor has a stunning four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower, while upstairs the second large bedroom features a wonderful kingsize bespoke bed, beautiful beamed vaulted ceiling and statement lighting. Outside you will find a Mediterranean style covered seating area complete with its own chandelier, barbecue area and private hot tub, all soaking up the wonderful views!
Set in the lovely village of Bishopswood, with the Somerset Wildlife Trust running adjacent to the property, you are only 5-minutes’ walk from the local pub and surrounded by miles of beautiful walks. The market town of Honiton is just 10 miles away and the beach at Lyme Regis can be reached within a 30-minute drive. Heading north, you will find the county town of Taunton with lots of restaurants, cinema, bowling and shopping, and within an hour’s drive you will find Glastonbury, Street, Minehead and the moors of Exmoor! A short stroll from the sheltered sandy bay, Norman Castle and the 12th century Church of St James this ’delightfully vintage’ holiday home is close to the heart of the pretty village of Manorbier - ’the most pleasant spot in Wales’.

The local restaurant is just a 3 minutes walk away below the cottage. Manorbier’s beautiful sandy beach is 10 minutes walk away from this holiday cottage. Please do not expect to launch your boat from here though! Dogs are welcome all year round. Manorbier has a favoured tearoom/cafe, gift shop and jovial public house plus a local shop supplying all your holiday needs. The cafe offers a charming place to enjoy a coffee or locally cooked fare. Manorbier is a hidden gem with a real holiday village feel with winding stone walled lanes and a lovely place to stroll.

This superb Scandinavian style lodge is the ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life and just relax. There are beautiful walks in tranquil countryside from the door and it is just a short drive to the village of Warkworth with its magnificent castle.

The nearby village of Warkworth, whose skyline is dominated by it’s ancient castle, is a short drive away and has an interesting variety of galleries, shops, authentic pubs, restaurants and cafés, including a French patisserie, and is centrally placed for discovering all of the beaches, islands, castles, historic houses, towns and villages in historic Northumbria. The Cart Shed has plenty to offer in terms of charm and features. Set all on the ground floor, so would suit those less able with flat access to gardens. The Cart Shed is set right in the middle of beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside with over 40 fabulous beaches only half an hour’s drive away to the north, west and south. An ideal place to stay for walking, cycling, horse riding and birdwatching. The property offers a great base to explore the local area of Wiston and the town of Haverfordwest, which is around 7 miles away. Haverfordwest offers a range of year-round holiday attractions all lying within easy reach, including Broad Haven beach with its water sports, sands and rock pools, around 13 miles away. Dolphins can often be spotted in St Brides Bay and the coastal path is a must for walkers.
The property features a spacious open plan living space, with an electric fire, TV and DVD player for cosy nights in with a movie. These stunning barn conversions are set on the border of a deer park in Snettisham. The semi-rural and peaceful location of these comfortable and characterful barns offers a sense of calm and relaxation. The Old Paybarn (ref UK39378) has a large and comfortable living room where you can sink into the comfortable sofas and warm up in front of the fire, before retiring to the comfortable beds. Here you can enjoy sweet dreams in the peaceful countryside, where the only sounds you will hear are bird songs and the sounds of the horses. The master bedroom is situated on the ground floor and has an en-suite, whilst located on the first floor is the second family bedroom. In addition to the exceptional finish, the barn has all the modern day comforts. If there are more in your party you can also book the Annexe at Park Farm barns (ref UK39379) which sleeps 2 and features a hot tub. It also has a large bedroom with a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower.
The pleasant village of Snettisham offers something for everyone, whatever your age and whatever the weather! The beach here is enormous – wide and spacious. It lies almost 2 miles from the village centre and is a mixture of stone and sand, with a grassy area behind. At the southern end of Snettisham beach is the well-known RSPB Nature Reserve. Here you will find a number of hides you can use without having to be a member. From the hides you can enjoy one of the country’s greatest wildlife spectacles. This is especially so when the rising high spring tides force thousands of birds to leave the mudflats where they are feeding and settle close to the hides.
Snettisham is a walker’s haven, particularly for dog owners, with the village having miles of public footpaths plus the ancient Peddars Way is found nearby. A firm favourite for children is Snettisham Park Farm, which is a working farm that offers hands-on activities. Along with the traditional farm animals, deer and llamas can be found here, plus tractor and trailer rides, making this a family fun day out. Again aimed at children, the traditional seaside town of Hunstanton with its sandy beach, promenade, sea-life centre and fairground rides is just a mere 5 miles away. For adults you will be spoilt for choice of where to visit first, with so many fantastic places to explore locally, such as the Royal Sandringham Estate, Holkham Hall, Norfolk Lavender and Houghton Hall to name just a few. This property is situated in Perranporth, a seaside town on the north coast of Cornwall. The Annexe at Tenniside is a two-bedroom, ground floor property with its own parking and private garden. Located near a small stream and surrounded by woodland, you will find the beach to be a 10-minute walk away.
The property has everything that you would expect for a comfortable stay. The garden is very quiet and you can hear the water bubbling from the small stream. The owner has installed outdoor lighting and throws so you can enjoy the relaxing evenings whilst the little ones are tucked in bed. For those that are adventurous, why not lie in the hammock? The garden is full of colourful plants, and these are sold by the owner in the small stall on the road.
If you turn right out of the property you will see a huge tennis club, so for a small fee you can book the court, do not forget your rackets! A little further on is a very well-equipped play area for children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers. There is basketball and a football pitch, as well as a table tennis to use. A little further you will find the duck pond, a beautiful place to walk, with plenty of benches, rowing boats full of flowers, and the island has a lovely waterfall. In the village you have local shops, restaurants, takeaways and cafés, offering everything from fish and chips to a roast dinner, catering for all types of cuisine you won’t be disappointed.
Perranporth beach is a 3-mile stretch of sand, a fantastic place for the whole family. There is a tidal pool at Chapel Rock as well as a fantastic watering hole. The Atlantic surf attracts surfers all year round, and there is something to do all year round. The coastal paths along Perranporth lead you to the stunning sand dunes of Penhale, an area designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Area of Conservation.

This delightful cottage can be found on the edge of the Peak District in the picturesque village of Cutthorpe, down a private country lane on the owner’s non-working farm of 2 acres. Green Farm is surrounded by fields, woodland, footpaths and bridleways with direct access to the Linacre Reservoirs and Holmebrook Country Park. Tawny Owl Barn is a beautifully converted stone barn, situated over two floors, retaining many original features. The ground floor lays claim to a cosy living room complete with a warming wood burner, leather sofas, exposed stone walls and wooden beams. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen/dining room, a great social space with a large dining table so you can have a home cooked meal with all the family, as well as a single bedroom with an oak sliding barn door. Head upstairs where you will find two en-suite bedrooms with varnished, natural wooden floors, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. Double glazed and centrally heated throughout, this barn is perfect for families and groups all year round.
Outside, there is a fully enclosed private garden with a patio table and chairs, a barbeque and views over open countryside. There is a gate giving access to the fully enclosed hot tub (which is available all year for an additional charge, payable locally). This also includes the supply of additional towels and dressing gowns. We have a one acre paddock to exercise your dog in. Up to two well behaved dogs.
Cutthorpe has two pubs within walking distance that are dog friendly and serve food. It has a pretty village green and benefits from panoramic views over Chesterfield with its famous crooked spire. The village is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park, yet is only 3 miles from The popular market town of Chesterfield. Its perfect location allows you to explore historic houses, walking, cycling and visiting the tourist towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Castleton, Buxton, Eyam and Hathersage. If its stately homes, castles and gardens you would like to visit, the magnificent Chatsworth House is only 10 minutes drive away; the grounds and house will provide a full day out. Within 30 minutes you can also visit Packwood house, Bolsover castle, Renishaw hall, Haddon hall and Hardwick hall.

For those that are more active, there are numerous options varying from local walks from your door, to more adventurous walks in the Peak District. Cyclists are also well catered for with a variety of road and off road tracks and trails. Additionally there is shooting, canoeing, horse riding, go ape, abseiling, climbing, fishing and golf all available nearby. Alternatively you can just relax and enjoy the tranquillity that Green Farm offers. The nearest shop is 2 miles, café 1½ miles, post office, doctors are all available locally.
