The owners have thoughtfully provided complimentary toiletries should you forget your own!
Bring your bucket and spade as the glorious sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn is just a mile down the road and offers superb views over to the Rhinog Mountains. For the more adventurous, Zip World and Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog are a thrill seekers delight, whilst the famous Ffestiniog Railway and mighty Harlech Castle are also well worth a visit. From Barmouth, why not hire a bike and cycle across Barmouth Bridge and along the Mawddach Trail to Penmaenpool and Dolgellau? Beach 1 mile. Shops 300 yards, pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

Conveniently located half way between the two very popular coastal villages of Criccieth and Porthmadog, Tyddyn Iolyn is an excellent base to explore this delightful area, with a multitude of amazing walks, fantastic cycling opportunities and a fine selection of visitor attractions nearby.
Porthmadog is the departure point for wonderful steam train journeys on the world famous Ffestiniog Railway as it winds its spectacular way through superb scenery up into the Snowdonia Mountains. The pretty Italianate village of Portmeirion, location of the cult TV series ‘The Prisoner’ is also close by. Criccieth is a pretty village watched over by a medieval castle, and boasts a lovely beach and a good selection of restaurants and shops. The surrounding Snowdonia National Park offers a myriad of outdoor pursuits suitable for all ages. Beach 2½ miles. Shop, pubs and restaurants 2½ miles.

Ymwlch Barns are a charming complex of barn conversions situated in a quiet hamlet offering beautiful mountain views and country walks. The Dutch barns (UK12872 and UK12873) are superb, semi-detached barn conversions each offering modern open plan living with a luxurious touch and lovely private hot tubs in enclosed courtyards (towels not provided). They each have a kingsize bedroom and a twin room, making them ideal for small families or couples. Kris Kin (ref OXU) is a charming detached barn conversion with oak beams, wooden floor, well-equipped kitchen and an en-suite bathroom. This property also has its own hot tub.

The surroundings are alive with snowdrops in winter and bluebells in spring. The complex is a short drive away from the beach and castle at Criccieth, and a lovely selection of restaurants, cafes, shops and pubs. Situated on the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula, the area is perfect for walking and cycling with an abundance of lovely footpaths and peaceful country lanes. Just under 5 miles away is the lovely town of Porthmadog, with its pretty harbour and the start of fabulous narrow gauge steam train rides on the world famous Ffestiniog railway, which takes you deep into the heart of the magnificent Snowdonia National Park. Gloriously located above the fishing village of Aberdaron at the western tip of the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula, this fabulous, bright and spacious semi-detached bungalow boasts modern interiors and a blissful hot tub. It is just a short stroll away from a lovely sandy beach and a fine selection of cafés, restaurants and shops.
Within the village is Porth y Swnt, the National Trust’s interpretation centre, which is a great place to learn about the area’s rich history, culture and environment, and is really useful for getting great ideas for days out during your stay.
The Wales Coastal Path runs close by and with many beautiful walks starting from the village, Benlli is in a wonderful location for both traditional family seaside holidays and those seeking a more active break.
The lively resort of Pwllheli with many amenities is a short drive away and the Snowdonia National Park, with its wealth of exhilarating outdoor pursuits and family attractions, is also within easy reach. Beach 500 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

In a lovely quiet location, Goleufryn is split over three buildings grouped around a pretty garden, just on the outskirts of Abersoch on the Llyn Peninsula, and has distant sea views. The main house sleeps ten and has a spacious living room with a dining room and full kitchen where everybody can gather together. The Barn sleeps four, has a large living room and kitchenette together with two bedrooms, and The Annexe sleeps four in one bedroom and also has a fantastic games room to keep the whole family occupied.
There are walks from the door, and the pretty village of Abersoch is a short distance away, providing a range of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. There are three beaches to choose from too, the long sandy Warren Beach, small and sheltered Porth Bach, and sandy Porth Ceiriad including backed by high cliffs. There’s also the surfers favourite at nearby Hell’s Mouth. Abersoch itself is well-known as one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales, but it also makes an ideal base for exploring the area. Visit the lovely National Trust owned beach at Llanbedrog with its multi-coloured beach huts, and call in to see the ever-changing art exhibitions at Plas Glyn-y-Weddw. Take a trip from Aberdaron to visit Bardsey Island off the tip of the Llyn Peninsula, or take a trip into the Snowdonia National Park on the Welsh Highland Railway, visit the quirky Italianate village of Portmeirion, or conquer mighty Caernarfon Castle, built by Edward I and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It really does make a fantastic base from which to explore the Snowdonia National Park whatever time of year, with its cosy wood burner and wonderful hot tub.
The many attractions of this area include a narrow gauge steam railway, which winds its way from historic Caernarfon into the heart of the Snowdonia Mountains, and a small airfield for pleasure flights over the area. Glanrafon Isaf is a fabulous converted barn and adjacent annexe that adjoins the River Gwyrfai, with full access for fishing and walking along the river bank. The open-aspect kitchen, dining and living area is ideal for family get-togethers and parties. The large decking area outside is ideal for barbecues and al fresco dining.
This holiday home lies close to the town of Caernarfon and there is much to see in the area, including mighty Caernarfon Castle, the Galeri Arts Centre or take a trip on a steam train on the Welsh Highland Railway to Beddgelert. Children will also love Caernarfon’s Fun Centre (Yr Hwylfan), and Gypsy Wood Park in nearby Bontnewydd. It is also just a short journey to the Isle of Anglesey with its spectacular 125 miles of coastline and fascinating places to visit such as Beaumaris with its Edward I castle, Red Wharf Bay and the beautiful and leafy Newborough Forest. In the other direction is Snowdon which, at 3,560ft, is the highest mountain in Wales. A more relaxing way than climbing to the top is to take the train to the visitor centre at the summit - on a clear day the views are spectacular! The Victorian town of Llandudno, Llanberis and picturesque Betws-y-Coed are all within easy reach.

Situated between Harlech Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the world class Royal St Davids links golf course, Noddfa has beautiful views of both and the sea beyond. The current detached mansion has a history dating back 250 years, and was protected by the castle garrison. However the distinctive frontage of the house was added in 1850 by Samuel Holland MP and retains much of the Victorian character and splendour, with high ornate ceilings and a bell tower. This nationally and internationally renowned golf course has stunning views of the historic Harlech Castle and is ranked in the top 100 golf courses in the world. Explore the coastline using the Cambrian Coast railway line, visit Porthmadog, home to the famous Ffestiniog Railway, or nearby Portmeirion, whilst the quarry town of Blaenau Ffestiniog now has plenty to attract visitors with Zipworld and Bounce Below providing thrills for all the family.
