Take a trip on the Ffestiniog Railway up into the Snowdonia hills, or visit the famous Italianate fantasy village of Portmeirion. See Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, Beddgelert on the picturesque Aber Glaslyn or the old castles of Conway, Caernarvon and Harlech. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

A short drive is Porthdinllaen beach home to a popular beach side inn, once voted in the top ten best beach bars in the world! You are also within easy reach of Porthmadog home to the Welsh Highland Railway, and Italianate village of Portmeirion, fashionable Abersoch is also nearby. Criccieth and Harlech, a short drive away where you’ll find the historic castles of the area. This area has miles of unspoilt coastal paths to explore, look out for the grey seal colonies that are established around the coastline, alongside a wealth of sea birds. No matter your interests from golfing, fishing and adventure sports to nature and history, the diverse Llyn Peninsula has everything to offer. This really is a superb spot for exploring this amazing part of North Wales, where you can enjoy both spectacular mountain scenery and the most amazing beaches, along with a host of family attractions. It really does make a fantastic base from which to explore the Snowdonia National Park whatever time of year, with its cosy wood burning stove and fabulous views.
Pant Du Vineyard is just over half a mile away from the cottage, an absolute must visit whilst here. The many attractions of this area include a narrow gauge steam railway, which winds its way from historic Caernarfon into the heart of the Snowdonia Mountains, and a small airfield for pleasure flights over the area.
Caernarfon, with its magnificent castle, is within easy reach and also offers a fine selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, along with golf, bike hire and sailing.

At the wild and beautiful tip of the Llyn Peninsula in the pretty village of Aberdaron, this coastal holiday cottage has been lovingly decorated with great attention to detail. Clean simple lines, white walls, pale blue furnishings and lovely seascape pictures all contribute to the nautical theme. The open plan kitchen/dining room is well equipped and a fantastic space for cooking and feasting with family and friends. French doors lead from the living room out to the fully enclosed garden which has a decking area perfect for eating out and enjoying the spectacular sunsets and sea views. Aberdaron has two pubs serving great meals, one with a terrace directly overlooking the beach, two tea rooms, a fish bar, an ice cream parlour selling award-winning ice cream and an excellent bakery with a tea room upstairs. The Spar has a post office counter and the Eleri Stores sells fishing tackle, frozen bait, newspapers, lottery tickets and freshly cooked takeaway pizza. The National Trust interactive visitor centre in Aberdaron promotes the many attractions of the Llyn Peninsula. The ancient church of St Hywyn’s in Aberdaron was the last stopping off point for pilgrims to Bardsey Island. There is so much to see and do within 200 yards of Bodarfor! Uwchmynydd is a heath covered headland above the village and is and home to a variety of rare plants and birds - an ideal spot from where to catch sight of elusive Bardsey Island which is invisible from the village or the Peninsula.

Here you’re really in the heart of all North Wales has to offer, with lakes, coastal paths, Snowdonia and popular tourist towns all within easy reach. Dinas Dinlle beach is in walking distance from the lodge, with wonderful views across the bay to the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey. Caernarfon Castle, an imposing UNESCO World Heritage site, is under 8 miles and where Prince Charles took his investiture. Venture just a little further and you have Pwllheli, Criccieth and Porthmadog, home to the Welsh Highland Railway. There’s something for all ages in this diverse region and it would certainly be a break to remember. Beach ½ mile.

Pebble Cottage is a stunning former fisherman’s cottage situated close to the beach front and local amenities in Aberdovey. There isn’t a better location to be for those looking for a seaside escape. Set within the southern reaches of the Snowdonia National Park, excellent for those walkers visiting the area. Aberdovey is a thriving seaside fishing village with brightly painted houses which seem to cling to the shoreline, and has a history dating back hundreds of years. It offers miles of beautiful golden sandy beaches with a fantastic selection of water based activities available including sailing, fishing and windsurfing. Golfers are also well catered for with an 18-hole championship golf course located at the western end of the village, which welcomes visiting players. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the wonderful opportunities for walking and bird watching available in the surrounding area. A myriad of visitor attractions are within easy reach including the Vale of Rheidol Railway, Talyllyn Railway, the Corris Craft Centre and King Arthur’s Labyrinth. Beach 100 yards. Glasfryn Parc is also within easy reach, where you’re sure of a fun filled day out with go karting, ten pin bowling, fishing and various water sports including paddle boarding on offer. It is half a mile in length with a wooden promenade suitable for pedestrians or cyclists which now forms part of the Wales Coast Path and the Lon Las Cymru Cycle Network. Nantcol waterfalls are just 5 miles away and offer a great day out, a perfect place for a family picnic whilst playing in the stream.
