To the north of the village is Barmouth, start of the Mawddach Trail, which passes over Barmouth Bridge and follows the track bed of the old railway line along the Mawddach Estuary to Dolgellau. To the second floor there is a master bedroom, family bathroom and underfloor heating to the ground and first floor. To the front of the property there is a large patio area and a sea garden.

Tillman dates back to the early 1900s and has been stylishly updated to restore some of its original features. Conveniently located just moments from the beach, and the centre of Tywyn it is the perfect bolthole.

The Wales Coastal Path passes through Tywyn and there are some good walks taking in the views of Cardigan Bay along with Snowdonia and the Cambrian Mountains to the south. If you keep your eyes peeled, you may even be lucky enough to spot some dolphins. The property is also within walking distance of a train station.
Venture out into the beautiful Snowdonia National Park and explore one of the trails, for walking, cycling, hiking and even mountain biking. For the more adventure seekers, Cader Idris is the highest mountain in southern Snowdonia and is a popular peak to conquer.

For a fun activity for everyone why not visit Talyllyn Railway. The journey itself crosses more than seven miles of spectacular scenery within sight of one of Britain’s highest mountains, Cadair Idris. The journey takes 55 minutes up the line from Tywyn through the ancient woodlands and meadows of the Fathew Valley. En route keep your eyes peeled for Red Kites, Cormorants, Barn Owl, Redstart, Peregrine Falcons, Wheatear, Linnet and Little Owl. The cosy covered and open carriages provide the best of comfort and views as you travel up the line. There’s Bird Rock close by, Dolgoch Falls, and the Mawddach all very close.

Bring your bucket and spade as the glorious sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn is just a mile down the road and offers superb views over to the Rhinog Mountains. For the more adventurous, Zip World and Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog are a thrill seekers delight, whilst the famous Ffestiniog Railway and mighty Harlech Castle are also well worth a visit. From Barmouth, why not hire a bike and cycle across Barmouth Bridge and along the Mawddach Trail to Penmaenpool and Dolgellau? Beach 1 mile. Shops 300 yards, pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

Caernarfon, with its magnificent castle, and a fine selection of shops, restaurants and pubs is just 4 miles away, and is also the start of the Welsh Highland Railway for scenic journeys into the heart of Snowdonia.
