The cottage’s enclosed lawned garden overlooks the beautiful rolling hillsides and well-tended fields, making the perfect setting for just relaxing in or enjoying an evening barbecue.
Y Stabal is set on a carefully tended, large, working stock farm, together with the owner’s imposing 18th-century farmhouse. A gentle 3½-mile stroll leads to Llangian, one of the prettiest award winning villages on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales. Abersoch is a vibrant seaside village has lots of sheltered, sunny niches along its beautiful sandy beach popular with watersports enthusiasts. The annual jazz festival is held in June and the Wakeboarding Festival in July. There are many shops and visitor attractions open all year (with good sales in the shops after the summer) making it a lovely place to holiday in at any time.

This spacious chapel may have high ceilings but there’s no need to worry about it being chilly, with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor it’s lovely and toasty. The living and kitchen area is open plan making this an ideal social space, there’s two modern bathrooms one with luxurious slipper bath. Two bedrooms; one mezzanine style.
Bethel is just under 10 minutes from the centre of Bala, surrounded by the dramatic landscape of the Snowdonia National Park, this makes a great base from which to explore the area. The historic town of Bala has a wide range of cafés and restaurants and an award-winning butcher, people travel for miles for their pork pies! You’ll also find a leisure centre with swimming pool and sports hall. There are water sports both on the lake, Llyn Tegid and close by at the White-Water Rafting Centre, as well as a golf course.
Take a trip along the lake on the 2ft narrow gauge steam trains, a 9-mile trip taking in some breath-taking scenery along the way. This area is surrounded by the rural region of Penllyn, with mountains, forests, waterfalls, and many lakes, perfect for avid kayakers and paddle boarders. Penllyn’s main mountain ranges - Aran, Arenig and Berwyn – rival those of other parts of Snowdonia but are not as crowded. Hundreds of miles of footpaths and bridleways give access to spectacular places no matter what time of year you visit. Further afield is Llangollen well worth a trip in the car, here you’ll find the Horseshoe Falls and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, which offers beautiful walks, barge trips and views.

On a covered veranda in the garden you will find the blissful hot tub, which offers the perfect place to relax at the end of the day, with views of the pleasant enclosed garden. Bring your bucket and spade as the glorious sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn is just a mile down the road and offers superb views over to the Rhinog Mountains. For the more adventurous, Zip World and Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog are a thrill seekers delight, whilst the famous Ffestiniog Railway and mighty Harlech Castle are also well worth a visit. From Barmouth, why not hire a bike and cycle across Barmouth Bridge and along the Mawddach Trail to Penmaenpool and Dolgellau? Beach 1 mile. Shops 300 yards, pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

Just 2 miles away is Tywyn, with a good selection of shops, cafés and a lovely sandy beach, and fashionable and lively Aberdovey is just a little further round the coast. This is a superb location for enjoying lovely walks and cycling, with an abundance of wildlife and wonderful waterfalls to spot and enjoy. To the north of the village is Barmouth, start of the Mawddach Trail, which passes over Barmouth Bridge and follows the track bed of the old railway line along the Mawddach Estuary to Dolgellau. There are lots to do in the area with Criccieth’s 13th century castle on your doorstep, boats and golf course, plus the other popular attractions of the Lleyn Peninsula, it makes an ideal holiday base. Take a trip on the Ffestiniog Railway up into the Snowdonia hills, or visit the famous Italianate fantasy village of Portmeirion. See Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, Beddgelert on the picturesque Aber Glaslyn or the old castles of Conway, Caernarvon and Harlech. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
