The Edward I castle (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) broods dramatically over the town of Harlech, which also has a superb sandy beach. Visit the Cambrian Coast down to Barmouth and beyond, whilst in the other direction the Lleyn Peninsula beckons with the seaside towns of Criccieth and Abersoch.
