This comfortable, detached cottage is set in a secluded location on the smallholding of Erw Goed, which sits peacefully within the Snowdonia National Park. Situated between the beautiful Mawddach Estuary and the foothills of Cadair Idris, just 3 miles from lovely sandy beaches at Fairbourne and Barmouth. The property is accessed by crossing some uneven ground and via a small footbridge over a stream. Guests have sole use of the ½-acre fenced garden with stream running through, there is a camp fire site available for outdoor cooking or camp fires, and guests are also welcome to explore Erw Goed’s 30 acres of gardens and unspoilt woodland and hill with spectacular views over the estuary. You can also meet the livestock including ducks, chickens, bees and sometimes pigs. The Mawddach Trail is easily accessible and the market town of Dolgellau is 6 miles away. Walking, pony trekking, fishing and golf are available locally. Coed-y-Brenin, 10 miles, is a renowned mountain biking centre. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

A sandy, pebble-backed beach is less than a minute’s walk from the cottage’s front door, and Caernarfon with its majestic castle, fine selection of shops and restaurants, and the Welsh Highland narrow gauge railway lies just 8 miles away. This delightful mid-terraced holiday cottage, situated on the outskirts of town, dates from the 18th century and features a warming woodburner, a small terraced garden with a barbecue and great views of the surrounding mountains. There is quiet on road parking adjacent to the property. The former slate quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog is rich in heritage, with the famous Ffestiniog Steam Railway providing a spectacular journey down to the coast at Porthmadog. There are several fantastic attractions, including the Stiniog downhill bike trails, Bounce Below, where you can trampoline underground in a slate cavern, and Zip World Titan, where you can go down ziplines. Black Rock Sands and the Italianate village of Portmeirion are within easy reach; whilst in the other direction are Betws-y-Coed and the Conwy Valley. Beach 9 miles. Shop and restaurant 1 mile, pub ½ mile.

Set on a working farm, this converted stable is close to Pwllheli and Criccieth. Ideally situated for exploring the Lleyn Peninsula and a 3 mile walk way and cycle path is across the road. It is cosy with modern conveniences and access to the beach (a few minutes’ walk over railway via public crossing). Nearby, are fishing, horse riding along the beach, golf and you can explore the hidden coves. The owner also provides grazing and a field for up to four horses at their property, by prior arrangement and additional cost. Stabling is also available. Portmeirion Italianate village, the steam railway, Pwllheli Marina and Abersoch, for water sports, are all within 15 minutes’ drive. Cricceth 2 miles. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.

In a rural location and gloriously positioned on the northern coast of the Llyn Peninsula, and enjoying a stunning outlook over the dramatic sea and shoreline, this detached, single storey holiday property boasts its own blissful hot tub, and offers very comfortable and spacious holiday accommodation. Refurbished with new windows and doors in 2021, it sits just a short stroll from the beautiful little Porth Colmon harbour and beach, where you can enjoy an occasional visit from the dolphins and seals. Small boats can be launched from the slipway which belongs to the owner and in season, freshly caught lobsters and crabs can be purchased from the local fisherman. A scenic cliff top walk takes you to the uncrowded golden sands of Traeth Penllech, a relatively unknown part of the peninsula. The village of Aberdaron is six miles away and lively Pwllheli with its shops, pubs and restaurants is 11 miles.

Ty Hir is located close to the beautiful Mawddach Estuary with its coastal trail and cycle path. There is direct access from the farm leading down to the golden sands of Fairbourne beach, great for families with small children or across the Victorian bridge to Barmouth. If you wish you can just relax, enjoy a spot of fishing nearby, or for the more energetic you can enjoy family walks in the idyllic scenery, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Snowdonia National Park. The family-run pony trekking and equestrian centre on-site is just on the north side of the farm, away from our holiday cottages with menage Hire (arena), riders or complete beginners are catered for.
