For sightseeing, memorable days out can be had at the Blaenavon World Heritage Site, the Roman Caerleon, and Goodrich, Raglan or Eastnor Castles. Golf is possible at Hereford, Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, and racing found at Chepstow and Cheltenham. The famous book town of Hay-on-Wye is reached after a beautiful drive through The Golden Valley.

If you want to get away from the television there is another living space in the glorious sunroom, which has folding glass doors leading out onto the south-facing front patio. There is a ground-floor toilet and a separate utility room with a tumble dryer. On the first floor you will find three bedrooms, one with a super kingsize bed, and two with twin beds. The bathroom has the best views from the cottage and has a stand-alone roll-top bath, shower cubicle, handbasin and toilet. Off-road parking for up to three cars is available in the gravel yard opposite the cottage, just across the road, where there are also some fruit trees.

It is unknown when exactly it was built, but it is shown on the 1840 Herefordshire Tithe Map, and it seems to have been built originally in the 14th or 15th century. It is located approximately half a mile from the nearest property, with views to open country, and beneath ancient deciduous woodland, in the heart of what is now the Netherley Hall Estate. It is shown on the 1840 Tithe Map as ‘Quabhead Cottage’. Quabb’s Head means literally the ‘the head of the bog’. The original gable wall has been lovingly restored, and the extensions have been built, with oak from ancient estate woodland. On the ground floor, you’ll find two beautifully appointed bedrooms, each designed to offer a restful night’s sleep. These bedrooms are perfect for grandparents or older family members who may prefer to have their accommodations on the ground level, providing convenience and easy access to the main living areas. The deluxe bathroom on the ground floor includes a walk-in shower. The open-plan kitchen and living room on the ground floor create a communal space where everyone can gather, share meals, and create lasting memories. The dining room, with its ample seating for eight, provides the perfect setting for family dinners and celebrations.

    Three of the cottages are detached, whilst the fourth one is semi-detached, and the English oak timber used to restore their interiors was felled and machined from the extensive woodland on the estate itself.     Parkers (ref RAAP) was originally built in 1610 and is a detached, listed building lovingly restored to the very highest standard and has several items of antique furniture. Parkers Lodge (ref RAAQ) is a smaller two-bedroomed detached cottage completed in 2006 and fitted out to a very high standard, whilst Brook House (ref RAAR) is a detached, listed building dating from around 1670 and emanates a marvellous ambience.
