The historic house of Hellens Manor is located within Much Marcle; Eastnor Castle and Symmonds Yat are just a short drive away as are the historic market towns of Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye. Locally, there are many places of historical interest to visit, such as churches, stately homes and museums.
Outdoor activities in abundance will be found within the Forest of Dean, including canoeing, climbing, fishing, golf, horse riding and cycling.
Hereford, Malvern, Gloucester and Regency Cheltenham with its racecourse are all within easy driving distance. For children, there is the Wye Valley Visitor Centre, with its maze, butterfly zoo, miniature golf and laser tag, the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre, or the Birds of Prey Centre in Newent. Shop ¾ mile, pub 1 mile and restaurant 300 yards.

Snuggle up in this charming little holiday cottage, complete with babbling brook, located on the edge of the village of Eardisley. One of a pair, it is comfortably furnished with exposed beams and wood burning stove. A walker’s haven, with Offas Dyke and Mortimer’s Trail, further afield are the Black Mountains and the magnificent scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Riding, golfing, fishing and canoeing are available locally. Hay-on-Wye and Brecon are well worth a visit, also within easy driving distance are Ludlow, Hereford and Leominster. These four superb holiday cottages nestle on the borders of Herefordshire and Worcestershire and are located on a 700-acre estate on the beautiful west side of the Malvern Hills. Netherley Hall Estate is a family-run farm specialising in the breeding of cattle and sheep and the surrounding area offers marvellous woodland walks.

The cottages are within 15 minutes’ drive of Malvern and have panoramic views of the wooded hills and unspoilt countryside; the location is ideal for nature enthusiasts, with an abundance of wildlife to observe as well as unrivalled birdwatching.

Three of the cottages are detached, whilst the fourth one is semi-detached, and the English oak timber used to restore their interiors was felled and machined from the extensive woodland on the estate itself. The furnishings and fittings for all the cottages have been supplied by local businesses, and during restoration, the owners have paid great attention to detail.
Parkers (ref RAAP) was originally built in 1610 and is a detached, listed building lovingly restored to the very highest standard and has several items of antique furniture. Parkers Lodge (ref RAAQ) is a smaller two-bedroomed detached cottage completed in 2006 and fitted out to a very high standard, whilst Brook House (ref RAAR) is a detached, listed building dating from around 1670 and emanates a marvellous ambience. It has landscaped gardens and a terrace with outstanding views overlooking Mathon Brook. The Bothy (ref UK12100) is semi-detached and was renovated in 2019. It has a kitchen/dining room, and through the archway there is a comfortable living room with French doors opening out to a beautiful garden area, with views over the farmland and farm animals.

Attractions to visit near the cottages include the Malvern Hills, Three Counties Showground and Malvern Theatre, as well as farm shops, gardens, gift shops, picnic areas and walking trails. Fishing, golf and horse riding are also available, as well as pick your own fruit (in season). The town of Hereford is 15 miles away with its cathedral to explore, which is also the location for the famous Mappa Mundi and Chained Library exhibition. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants. The historic town of Brecon is 22 miles from the property and has an array of coffee shops, art galleries, and much more; the regimental museum is also worth a visit. Those in search of adventure can head to Pen Y Fan and take in the breathtaking views of the rolling countryside.
Cromwell House has an open plan living space; the living area has a cosy open fire you can curl up in front of and watch a film or sport on the Smart TV, which offers Sky and Netflix. This lovely detached lodge, where the owner lives just next door, has a private enclosed garden and decked seating area ideal for your four-legged friend, of which two are welcome free of charge and a third is chargable. The Wooden Lodge offers an open plan living space with a cosy wood burner in the living area for those cooler evenings, and a kitchen/dining area.

Set in peaceful Herefordshire countryside and with great links to the popular towns of Ludlow, Leominster and Hereford, there is so much to see and do in the area. There are plenty of stunning walks to choose from including close access to the famous Offa’s Dyke Path and the Mortimer Way. The market town of Presteigne is just 6 miles away and has a variety of independent shops and restaurants, and is also home to the award-winning Judges Lodgings Museum which is well worth a visit. These stylish barn conversions are adjacent to the owners’ home and farm and are wonderfully located near the book town of Hay On Wye, famous for its literary festival held every May. There are a good range of country pubs nearby which guests can walk to, and enjoy food and a drink. For guests looking to be more active there are stunning walks onto Hay Bluff, The Begwyns and the The Black Mountains. Further afield there is the city of Hereford which offers a range of shops and restaurants. Originally constructed as part of the Norman invasion of Wales, Hay Castle is a medieval site which offers guests a fascinating day out.
Badgers Den (UK32084), is a comfortable one storey barn conversion set all on one level. The living room includes comfortable seating with a double sofa bed offering flexible sleeping at the property. The bedroom sleeps two with a super kingsize bed for your comfort, along with an en-suite wet room. There is a decked area to the front of the property with garden furniture.
Gooses Roost (UK32096), is also all on one level and the super kingsize bed also has the option to be two single beds. Horsecroft (UK37462) is a detached barn conversion and features 3 zip and link super kingsize beds which can be twin beds on request, giving greater flexibility for couples or children.

The Cottage is a charming terraced holiday property set in the beautiful market town of Ledbury, which is nestled at the foot of the Malvern Hills and set just east of the city of Hereford.
This Grade II listed property enjoys the perfect location for those looking to explore all that Herefordshire has to offer, and is set at the top of the most beautiful cobbled street lined with black and white timber framed buildings. There is an array of independent bars, shops and restaurants set in the town waiting to be discovered. From Ledbury, there is a multitude of walks to enjoy including the Much Marcle circular walk and the Midsummer Hill walk, all which enjoy fabulous views of the Herefordshire hills. Visitors can walk to the Malvern Hills a couple of miles away. There are also plenty of places to visit including Eastnor Castle and Deer Park, Hellens Manor, Westons Cider Mill and the beautiful Wye Valley. Lebury is in a central location with easy access to Worcester, Hereford and Cheltenham. The train station is just 1 mile away giving access to the wider area. Much time and care has been spent both in the home and outside to create an enclosed family garden area with seating, barbecue area, pergola and a lawn for kids to play in, which is slightly separate from the property.

On the edge of the large village of Colwall, you have restaurants, bars and takeaways under a mile away if you do not feel like cooking, local shops will have the essentials you need, with larger shops close by in Great Malvern. Take some time to explore and visit the nearby picturesque towns and villages, walk the Malvern Hills, visit Eastnor Castle or spend a day out at one of the many events held at the Three Counties Showground, which is just 5 miles away!

Further afield are the cities of Worcester and Hereford, both easily reachable by train, and luckily the train station is just 600m away, so its the perfect spot for leaving the car behind and exploring the local attractions by rail! National Trust properties surround the area and are always a must see, as well as visiting the cities of Gloucester and Cheltenham, the latter is great for a day at the races.
