The Townhouse offers spacious and comfortable accommodation in a residential area in Inverness, 3 minutes from the city centre and the River Ness, and 10 minutes from a delicatessen, chemist, bakery and newsagent in the Crown area. It is a few minutes’ walk from the railway and coach stations and a 30-minute drive from Dalcross Airport. This centrally heated house is decorated and furnished to a very good standard. Inverness makes a superb base for sampling many attractions in the Highlands. Good walking, golf courses, bike trails, Nairn beach, the delights of Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal are within easy reach. Ullapool is around an hour’s drive away and the Isle of Skye is about 2 hours away by car, and slightly longer by train. The historically important Culloden battlefield, Cawdor Castle and Fort George are sights worth seeing, and the distilleries on the Whisky Trail make visitors welcome. Beach 16 miles. It is just a few minutes’ walk from an unspoilt sandy beach, and only 9 miles from the pretty village of Gairloch, where the nearest shops are to be found. The nearest pub/restaurant is at Badachro, 3 miles away, but the wider area has many coffee shops and restaurants, along with other places of interest. Within easy reach of Skye, Ullapool, Plockton, Eilean Donan Castle and Inverness for day trips, this part of Wester Ross is famous for dolphins, whales and seabirds, and the area has beautiful beaches as well as being a superb area for climbing and hill walking, with the dramatic Torridon mountain range as a backdrop. Horse riding is also available at Red Point (3 miles), and there is a nine-hole golf course in Gairloch. Fishing opportunities are located nearby.

This detached family holiday house is situated in the rural crofting township of Inverasdale, on the west coast of Scotland, offering views over the Loch Ewe and the open countryside. The area has so much to offer, including mountain and low level walking routes, dramatic seascapes and a variety of wildlife, with sea eagles, pine marten and otters being popular. Historic sites close by include Cove, which has a memorial stone for the Russian convoy fleet that sailed from Loch Ewe to Murmansk during World War II and Badachro, where the Fairy Lochs are a fabulous walk, and notable as the crash site of an American World War II bomber. This area is part of the first Geopark in Scotland, with its dramatic land/seascapes, geology and history. Traligill Glen, which leads to the impressive entrances of the largest cave system in Scotland, is a short walk from the cottage. The area has much to offer for the outdoor enthusiast, including hill walking, with Stac Pollaidh, Canisp and Suilven all close by, and several lochs for trout fishing (permits available locally). Boats can be hired in Lochinver for sea angling. Knockan Crag, a National Nature Reserve, is also nearby.
