Stalmine is located approximately 5 miles from the small market town of Poulton-le-Fylde which has a good selection of shops, bars, and cafés. Apart from being accessible for the coast, Carr End Barn A is also well-placed for exploring rural Lancashire. Ribble Valley with its pretty villages is within an hour’s drive, and it’s an excellent choice for walks and country pubs. The Forest of Bowland, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, can also be reached within an hour’s drive. It is conveniently located close to the Fylde Coast and just 5 miles from the popular seaside resort of Blackpool. Poulton-le-Fylde is just 1½ miles away which has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. There are also lots of family friendly pubs in the area as well as play centres for the children. Activities available locally include golf, fishing and horse riding, as well as plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling.

Altham is a quiet village in the borough of Hyndburn in Lancashire. A village pub, local shops, petrol station and takeaways are all within a few miles. A popular and scenic area, Pendle Hill is within easy reach of the site, as is the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which offers ample opportunity for remote walking and cycling away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. An easy journey under one hour will take you to the city of Preston in one direction, and historic Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the other. Pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
