Just 10 minutes’ drive from Skegness are the long white sands of the east coast. The mature garden, with its play areas and barbecues, provides a wonderful place for family fun, and the heated indoor swimming pool ensures entertainment all year round. Off road parking in designated areas right outside the farmhouse affords easy access for loading and unloading luggage and shopping.
There is plenty to see and do in and around the area. Less than a mile away is a good pub for families, which serves both food and drink. The closest beach for lazy summer walks, building sandcastles, sunbathing or indulging in bracing winter wanderings, is 10 minutes away by road, and the nearest golf course, North Shore, is the same distance away. Keen fishermen will enjoy the coarse fishing lakes just 300 yards away.
The town of Skegness has all the facilities you would expect of an established seaside town and modern commercial centre - shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés, cinema, theatre, fun fair, seaside amusements, park, aquarium, sports and fishing facilities, as well as a hospital and excellent road and rail links. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

With good walks and cycle routes straight from the door, as well as excellent golf courses, the area is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. The nearby market town of Louth, with many good pubs, tea rooms and restaurants to enjoy refreshments in, is only a short drive or taxi ride away and is ideal for those looking for a good meal in the evening after a day exploring this fabulous area. This lovely cottage with a hot tub is tucked away in the countryside close to the village of Blankney. You can relax in the hot tub enjoying the views as well as snuggle up in front of the wood burner after a day spent exploring the area.

An attic area with a large window and comfy seat next to it provides a peaceful spot to relax, read or work as you gaze over the fields. Your dogs will enjoy the large, enclosed garden which also has a garage where you can lock up your bikes, and an electric point for charging your car or bike if required.

Enjoy a day exploring nearby Lincoln, famous for its magnificent cathedral, castle and the Magna Carta Visitor Centre. Visit the Bailgate area in the heart of Lincoln’s historic quarter and discover a world of specialist shops including boutiques, crafts, book, and gift shops, not to mention tea rooms and restaurants that line the cobbled streets.

The neighbouring village of Metheringham, with its pubs and restaurant, is just 2 miles away, and Blankney Golf Club, an 18-hole golf course, can be reached in under a mile. Throughout the area are many good cycle routes and walks, from your own gate you can walk out onto the quiet country lane and stroll into the village or simply stay in your cottage and just enjoy the open views and relaxing countryside. Fletland Holiday Hamlet enjoys an enviable position alongside the River Glen, with each property having its own private patio to enjoy overlooking the river and the grazing horses and llamas in the fields. Situated just 9 miles from the centre of Stamford, the home of the World-Famous Burghley Horse Trials, and 11 miles from Peterborough, this is also an excellent touring base with the area boasting many good country pubs and tea rooms on your travels for refreshment with good walks and cycle routes from your door. The nearby village of Baston has a shop and pub serving good food with Market Deeping just 3.5 miles away for more shops and amenities.

Head Brewers House (formerly known as Merrilodge), the former home of George Bateman and family as well as the Head Brewer’s house. This lovely family house has a swimming pool in the large garden with an entertaining area to the side, perfect for al fresco dining. Spacious accommodation awaits you with two large living rooms. Refurbished in 2021 to provide holiday accommodation, this is one of five properties available at the Brewery to enjoy. As well as its own large lawned garden and swimming pool guests can also enjoy the large shared garden adjacent to the Brewery Windmill which runs alongside the River Steeping where you can also fish from the bank. Discounted Brewery tours are available, which include sampling and the small market town of Wainfleet has a good range of shops, pubs, takeaways and a railway station a short walk away for days out. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness with its sandy beaches, fairground, amusements and aquarium is 5 miles to drive or just a short train ride away. Shops 300 yards and pub 95 yards.

Just 5 miles from the sandy beaches at Chapel St Leonards and within 15 minutes’ drive you have the traditional seaside resorts of Skegness and Mablethorpe, Fantasy Island, Butlins, Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve and The Lincolnshire Wolds. A footpath through the field takes you to the village pub where you can have food, and is a 10-minute walk away, before you return to soak in the swim spa after a busy day out. For those wishing to enjoy a very popular gastro pub there is one at Skendleby approximately a 10-minute drive away.
You can even bring your family pets, with up to three dogs welcome, but please be aware there could be cattle or sheep in adjacent fields. There are very good walks from the door with the area also being very popular for cyclists. Beach 5 miles and pub 1 mile.

Ingham is a lovely, quiet village boasting a shop and two pubs for you to sit and take in the friendly atmosphere. The village is a great base for exploring the area, with the Lincolnshire Wolds around 20 miles away for outdoor enthusiasts; there are also good walks and cycle routes from the cottage.
