These three holiday cottages (UK40757, UK40758 and UK40759) are all part of the former Papist Hall, built in the late 1600’s and one of the oldest buildings in the village of Barrow upon Humber.
The newly renovated cottages offer a delightful mix of period features and modern amenities finished to a high standard. The enclosed gardens feature numerous relaxing seating areas, impressive stonework arches and planters, BBQ and a delightful range of planting featuring mature trees and vibrant flowers. A welcome pack featuring quality local produce is ready waiting for visitors to sample.
Papist Hall cottages are ideal for a relaxing break or as a touring base for north-east Lincolnshire, the coastline or even heading north into east Yorkshire and Hull, just 25 minutes away. The small village of Barrow upon Humber has range of shops and amenities as well as pubs serving food all within walking distance. Barrow upon Humber’s most famous son is John Harrison, inventor of the marine chronometer which allowed sailors to calculate longitude at sea, greatly improving safety at sea and saving many lives.
Visit Hull, 25 minutes away, the Yorkshire Wolds, 35 minutes, or even travel to Beverley, 30 minutes away, and York, about an hour away. The city of Lincoln is 50 minutes’ drive and is famous for its castle, cathedral, vibrant Brayford Wharf and excellent shopping. Shop, pub, restaurant ½ mile.
Please note that Papist Hall is a 350 year old building and as such is not accessible for those with mobility issues. There are steep steps and some uneven surfaces throughout the buildings and garden.

Reddick Cottage is a stone built mid-terrace property located in the little coastal town of Ingoldmells. Set over two floors, you enter the property into the delightful living area which offers comfortable sofas, an electric fire for additional heat and a Smart TV, giving you a perfect area to relax in. On the same floor you have a well-equipped kitchen with plenty of space for food preparation. On the first floor you have two good sized bedrooms, one with a plush double bed and the other with twin beds, both guaranteeing a great night’s sleep ensuring you are ready for the day ahead. Also, on the first floor there is the lovely family bathroom which offers a shower over the bath and heated towel rail.
To the rear of the property, you have a lovely private patio area which is ideal to have a glass of fizz al fresco style in the warm summer months. You will find a cosy and peaceful retreat to come back to after a day exploring this fantastic area. Located in the centre of Ingoldmells close to all the amenities and only a short walk to all the attractions of Fantasy Island. The seafront and beach are less than a mile walk with a bus stop nearby taking you along the coast for days out at Butlins or travel south to the seaside resort of Skegness or head north to Sandilands, Sutton-on-Sea and Mablethorpe for days on the coast. The sandy beach and promenade is just 100 yards away where you can walk along the prom past all the brightly coloured beach huts from Mablethorpe to Sandilands, with miles of unspoilt beaches perfect for strolling along. You can often spot seals both in the sea and later in the summer as they head to and from the breeding grounds at Donna Nook, and if you are lucky they are occasionally seen on the beach basking in the sun.
Sutton on Sea has something for all the family with a paddling pool, restaurants, two chip shops, cafés and pubs, one of which is on the promenade where you can enjoy refreshments and a meal overlooking the beach.
