For days out, visit the coast for miles of sandy beaches or head inland, 28 miles to the city of Lincoln, with its spectacular cathedral, castle, popular Bailgate area for shopping, restaurants and bars. Or head down Steep Hill to the Brayford Waterside where you can watch the boats cruise by. After a day exploring you can cosy up in front of the wood burner or relax on the large terrace and enjoy the peace and quiet, with very little light pollution its great for the star gazers among you. Attractions in the area include, Cadwell park race track, Market Rasen Horse racing, Woodhall Spa gold as well as home of the dam busters, Horncastle, antique centre of Lincolnshire and Spilsby Sir John Franklins birth place. Sommersby Tennysons birth place, Coningsby home of the Battle of Briton flight and the Euro fighter. Best of all the Lincolnshire wolds, go out the gate, turn right and you dont have to see a main road let alone cross one.

There is plenty to see and do in and around the area. Less than a mile away is a good pub for families, which serves both food and drink. The closest beach for lazy summer walks, building sandcastles, sunbathing or indulging in bracing winter wanderings, is 10 minutes away by road, and the nearest golf course, North Shore, is the same distance away. Keen fishermen will enjoy the coarse fishing lakes just 300 yards away.
The town of Skegness has all the facilities you would expect of an established seaside town and modern commercial centre - shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés, cinema, theatre, fun fair, seaside amusements, park, aquarium, sports and fishing facilities, as well as a hospital and excellent road and rail links. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

These 5 holiday cabins, each with furnished verandah for dining al fresco, are located 7 miles from Boston, and 20 miles from Skegness. They are situated just outside the small village of Old Leake where there are two pubs, a supermarket and a children’s play area. The site is ½ mile from the A52 with a regular bus service to Boston and Skegness.
Sheepgate Equestrian Centre is 2 miles away, where National Dressage competitions are held. The local RSPB reserve at Freiston Shore is 5 miles away, whilst Leverton village to the south has a café, supermarket and pub.
There are many country lanes around the site which are ideal for walking and cycling. The cabins overlook an established fishing lake (permit provided), however, guests will also be required to have their own Environment Agency fishing license. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Situated in a peaceful courtyard on the owner’s non-working farm, just a leisurely stroll from a pub serving food in Dry Doddington, this really charming and comfortable holiday cottage adjoins farm buildings and offers a good quality home from home and a lovely enclosed orchard garden overlooking pastureland. The interesting market town of Newark is 5 miles with its castle, cobbled centre, river trips and famous antiques market. Within a half hour’s drive are Belvoir Castle, Burghley House, The Southwell Workhouse and Belton House. Stamford and Lincoln are within 25 miles. Shops 2 miles.

This detached log cabin lies in Kenwick Woods, near the town of Louth. Set in over 300 acres of woodlands, with lovely walks straight from the lodge and cycle routes that take you out towards the coast or inland across the scenic Lincolnshire Wolds. The park also boasts an 18-hole golf course, which makes its way through mature woodland, negotiating no less than 9 lakes, with a hotel bar and restaurant about ½ mile walk. There is excellent coarse and fly fishing nearby, with 15 lakes within a 5-mile radius of Louth (permit required). The nearby Georgian market town of Louth has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a cinema and leisure centre to enjoy. The seal breeding grounds at Donna Nook are about a 20-minute drive and are always worth a day out in breeding season. The traditional seaside resorts of Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea are about a 20-minute drive to the east, with miles of quiet sandy beaches to explore. Beach 14 miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Just a 2-minute drive away is North Somercotes - a charming village with two pubs, two convenience stores and a number of food establishments, including a Chinese takeaway, pizzeria and Italian restaurant. This will be popular with walkers, cyclists and those wishing to bring their pet with them on holiday. Ideal as a touring base, with the Lincolnshire and Norfolk beaches within an hour’s drive. The property will be decorated for Christmas bookings, and stays from the 15th December will include a Christmas hamper which contains mince pies, cakes etc (dietary requirements can be advised to the owner).
Days out await you in the cathedral city of Lincoln, Stamford, home of the world-renowned Burghley Horse Trials, the National Trust Belton House and deer park, or enjoy the many good walks and cycle routes throughout the area and from the door. The Battle of Britain memorial Flight is 35 minutes away at Coningsby, and Sleaford, just 9 miles, is close by for shopping and amenities, with lots of tea rooms, cafés, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. Donington village is 5 miles with a supermarket, butchers, pub and takeaway restaurant. Shop and pub 2 miles at Billingborough.
