A superb private development of holiday homes, situated close to the beach in the traditional east coast holiday resort of Mablethorpe. With its sandy beaches, fair, amusements, Queens Park paddling pools and brightly coloured beach huts, Mablethorpe is a lovely place for a family holiday. A drive or bus ride south along the coast takes you to Sutton-on-Sea, Sandilands and Anderby Creek, all popular for lovely walks along the seafront or along their sandy beaches. Further south is Fantasy Island and Butlins for adventure filled family days out, with Skegness and its funfair and attractions including the Embassy Theatre and Cinema also offering plenty to see and do. To the north is Donna Nook Seal Sanctuary and breeding grounds, which are always well worth a visit during the breeding season with usually around a thousand seal pups born here each year. Each property has its own enclosed, lawned garden, perfect for sitting back and relaxing under the starry sky. There are an abundance of cafés, restaurants and bars offering food and drink, as well as food delivery options if required. Formerly the ‘wing’ of Curlew Lodge it has been converted to provide excellent holiday accommodation. For the more energetic there are walks and cycle routes throughout the area as well as a competition standard tennis court within the grounds. Riverbank cottage is a detached, comfortable family and couples retreat set on the west bank of the river Trent, ideal for those looking for a peaceful holiday or a base from which to explore this historic area. The cottage sleeps six adults and two children comfortably.
The first floor comprises of a sitting room with views overlooking the river, a family bathroom, a twin bedroom, a double room and a children’s room with a small single and a pull-out bed, only suitable for children, not adults. The ground floor benefits from a twin bedroom, a shower room with a toilet, a utility room, a TV snug and a dining kitchen. The cottage has an enclosed garden with a south-facing patio, garden furniture, barbeque, cycle store and parking for 1-2 cars accessed by an 8ft wide drive.
Although Althorpe has lost its pub there are many restaurants and eateries in the area including the excellent Ferryboat in the next village. Many shops and restaurants are available nearby, all within three miles along the A18 east.
There are many good walks and cycle routes and several golf courses only a short drive away. Interesting places to visit include Epworth, the birthplace of John Wesley founder of Methodism, the award-winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Normanby Hall and many wildlife and bird reserves. Lincoln, York, Beverley, Cleethorpes and Hull the 2017 City of Culture all less than an hour away.

These 5 holiday cabins, each with furnished verandah for dining al fresco, are located 7 miles from Boston, and 20 miles from Skegness. They are situated just outside the small village of Old Leake where there are two pubs, a supermarket and a children’s play area. The site is ½ mile from the A52 with a regular bus service to Boston and Skegness.
Sheepgate Equestrian Centre is 2 miles away, where National Dressage competitions are held. The local RSPB reserve at Freiston Shore is 5 miles away, whilst Leverton village to the south has a café, supermarket and pub.
There are many country lanes around the site which are ideal for walking and cycling. The cabins overlook an established fishing lake (permit provided), however, guests will also be required to have their own Environment Agency fishing license. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

The Granary provides a very good standard of accommodation in the pretty and peaceful village of Aisby. Situated near the end of a no through road, this renovated detached cottage has its own private walled garden with a gated entrance, and is suitable for couples, friends and families alike. Numerous walks and cycle routes are close at hand, and a lovely country pub, with beams, log fires, fine real ales and delicious food, is only a 15-minute stroll away. For those wishing to explore further afield, Stamford, Lincoln, Newark, Oakham and Uppingham offer NT houses, castles, museums, antique centres, and numerous pubs and restaurants. Those interested in WW2 can visit the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, and the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre, which are a few miles east of the market town of Sleaford. There are also numerous golf courses nearby including the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa, and Rutland Water offers various water sports throughout the year, the circular track around the reservoir provides easy walking and cycling for all ages with bikes available for hire.
