This delightful, welcoming, and very dog friendly semi-detached cottage is peacefully located along a quiet road, only 5 minutes’ walk from Lyndhurst village. On the ground floor is an entrance hall, dining area with wood laminate floor, a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, a toilet and a door leading out to an enclosed patio garden. Upstairs are two en-suite bedrooms and there are many thoughtful personal touches and additions, including books, tourist information, DVDs, family games and treats/extras for your pets too! There is parking for one car at the front, with additional on-road parking.
Known as ‘The Heart of The New Forest’, Lyndhurst offers various cafés, restaurants, shops and inns. The location is ideal for walkers, and Cosy Cottage is only a couple of minutes’ walk from the open forest where ponies and donkeys graze.
There is so much to do in The New Forest with attractions for all ages, including Paulton’s Park with Peppa Pig World just a short drive away. Beaulieu Motor Museum, the riverside village of Bucklers Hard and many picturesque villages are also close by just waiting to be discovered. Shops, pubs and restaurants are just a short walk away and there are several beaches about 15 minutes’ drive away. Why not treat yourself to a cream tea or ice cream at one of the many tea rooms or ice cream parlours? The sailing town of Lymington is about a 10-minute drive, with regular ferries to the Isle of Wight, which makes for a great day out. Try your hand at horse riding, golf, fishing, cycling, bird watching, sailing and rambling, or simply relax and soak up the beautiful views that the glorious New Forest offers! Beach 15 miles. Tea Pot Cottage is a delightful two-bedroom cottage located in the centre of Ringwood, perfect for exploring an abundance of eateries, and quaint and modern shops. The property has an open plan kitchen and living area on the ground floor providing a light and social space to relax in. You can spend cosy nights in the living area which has a 42” Smart TV, along with two-seater sofas providing plenty of room to spread out. There is also a desk with USB charger points, a bookcase and a dining table with four chairs. Next to the kitchen is a handy cloakroom cupboard and a downstairs shower room. Heading up to the first floor, there are two bedrooms. The first has a double bed, whilst the second bedroom has two 3ft twin beds.
Outside there is a beautiful garden at the back of the cottage which has a table with four chairs, a parasol and two sun loungers, perfect for enjoying a warm summer’s evening. There is a garden shed which houses an extra upright fridge/freezer, a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
Dating back to 1226, the market town of Ringwood stands on the banks of the River Avon and on the western fringes of the New Forest National Park. It is perfectly placed if you are after a walking holiday, as it is a town passed through by the Avon Valley Path. This route covers 34 miles of countryside stretching all the way from Salisbury in Wiltshire to Christchurch Priory on the south coast, following the River Avon the whole time. For more manageable walks, the route has been split into five smaller sections. One of Ringwood’s most popular attractions is the Brewery which offers tours of its premises. Just outside of the town is another top attraction, Liberty’s Owl, Raptor and Reptile Centre, where visitors can meet birds of prey, reptiles and insects.
There’s a wide choice of places to eat in Ringwood, whether you’re after traditional fare or freshly caught seafood. There is a café/bar on the High Street which offers breakfast/brunch/lunch every day. You can start the day on coffee or tea then end with cask ales, world lagers, wine or cocktails, with the option to dine al fresco in the lovely covered outdoor area.
New Forest Aqua Waterpark and Moors Valley with Go Ape climbing and golf are 2 miles away. Paultons Park is a 15-minute drive away and Monkey World is a 35-minute drive, so there is plenty of choice for a fun day out with the kids. Beach 10 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub 110 yards and restaurant ¾ mile.
