North Walsham, EnglandTo enter Dell Cottage, you first have to walk through the wonderful garden, which has been created with loving care by the owners. This wonderful, cosy property, with it’s arch windows and quirky features, has been thoughtfully furnished and boasts a large conservatory overlooking the beautiful garden, and it’s just 100 yards away from the local beach. With some retaining features dating back to the early 1300’s, Dell Cottage was once the village school, but is now a hidden treasure right in the heart of the picturesque coastal village of Mundesley. Cromer, EnglandIt is very hard to describe Band of Hope Hall, as you really need to step inside to appreciate just how special it is. With the original plaque and Temperance statement still visible on the walls, along with the two-storey high ceilings and parquet flooring, you can get a sense of this terraced building’s history, but its new owners have made sure there are lots of great modern touches too. The statement wood burner really pulls the stylish living room together and with floor-to-ceiling glass facing onto the small enclosed courtyard, the whole space is flooded with light. This is helped by the glass ceiling on the mezzanine level, perfect for stargazing, but complete with remote control blinds ready for those lie-ins. The sleek, modern kitchen is well equipped and has a range to prepare lovely meals to be enjoyed at the large dining table or in the garden. It also boasts a downstairs wet room and two downstairs bedrooms, and there are no steps on the ground floor, making this a great choice for three generations travelling together or for those less mobile.

Sheringham, EnglandNestled quietly behind a peaceful residential street, Seal Pup is a detached property is just ½ mile from the beach and seafront, with its own private parking. Seal Pup is a beautiful, bright, and airy home with practical open plan living space complete with a fabulous kitchen and downstairs shower room. The comfy reclining lay Z boy sofas are lovely to snuggle down in. Our downstairs twin bedroom is off the main living area. Upstairs, via the open tread spiral staircase there is a spacious double bedroom with Juliette balcony overlooking the garden. Outside, you will find the fully paved enclosed garden, which has a table and chairs for four people, as well as a loveseat which is the perfect place to sit with a glass of wine after a day out exploring the local area.
Seal Pup has lots of little touches - its own range of crockery is lovely to find in the cupboard! The shed is stacked with beach equipment, body boards, buckets, and spades - also a trolley to take it all to the beach. Dogs are welcome in the property - there is a comfy dog bed provided and a large crate can be found under one of the single beds.
The picturesque old fishing village of Sheringham and makes a fantastic base for a coastal break. Close by are good restaurants, shops, pubs, tea rooms and craft shops, as well as the Splash swimming pool, two museums and the North Norfolk Steam Railway, known as the ‘Poppy Line’. Sheringham has a busy list of activities throughout the year with a Viking Festival, 1940’s weekend, Vintage 60’s festival and fantastic Carnival week.
Sheringham Park and Felbrigg Hall both nearby National Trust properties are a must for dog walkers, nature lovers and ramblers, and during late Spring, they are awash with colour from the rhododendrons. In nearby Cromer the famous pier show is a great attraction and is a bustling place to visit. Cromer Crabs are the local favourite as well as Fish and Chips!
Along the coast Blakeney Point with its seal colony is a beautiful place to visit and a trip to see the seals by boat is highly recommended.
