22 Sea is a beautifully presented end of terrace house nestled in a quiet corner of ‘The Bay’, a purpose built holiday village overlooking Filey bay on the picturesque North Yorkshire coastline. With open plan living, and stunning full height windows providing access to a first floor balcony.

The sitting room features large deep filled sofas placed around a traditional wood burning stove; ideal for cooler winter months. Here you can relax and unwind after a long day at the beach whilst catching up on your favourite holiday movie. The modern kitchen sits to one side and the appliances include both a washer/dryer and dishwasher. The dining table provides plenty of seating for six and is ideally placed to enjoy a family breakfast or delicious home cooked evening meal.
Two sets of bi-fold doors provide access to a covered patio area and flood the room with natural light. An understairs cupboard provides space for storage and a WC completes the ground floor accommodation.
Take the stairs to the first floor and you will find two stunning and spacious bedrooms, a kingsize double and a double room with traditional bunk beds. Both bedrooms offer the ’wow’ factor with vaulted ceilings and full height cathedral windows which open up to provide access to a full length, south facing balcony with lovely views across the holiday park. Here you can sit and enjoy an early morning coffee or perhaps a relaxing glass of wine after a busy day.
Completing the interior is a spacious bathroom, featuring a shower over bath.
Outside of the house is a covered patio area with a table and chairs and a brick-built BBQ; a real sun trap which can be accessed from the open plan living area. A peaceful and secluded spot to sit and relax (not enclosed). This holiday home welcomes dogs and there are miles of dog-friendly beaches to explore and also a meadow for them to enjoy.
The Bay has many facilities to make your stay enjoyable including a coffee shop, convenience store, pharmacy, and the John Paul Jones family pub and restaurant. It also boasts a leisure complex comprising of an indoor, heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. You can also enjoy a game of tennis or hone your archery skills (additional charges apply).
Just a short drive away is the traditional seaside town of Filey where you can find a plethora of tea rooms, restaurants and pubs alongside amusement arcades and shops selling holiday essentials such as buckets and spades! This beautiful part of North Yorkshire offers something for everyone including miles of cycle routes and footpaths to explore including the breathtaking cliffs at Flamborough Headland. For golf fans enjoy a round on the beautiful Bridlington Links Golf Course. Sea Haven is a large spacious bungalow situated at Hunmanby Gap just over 3 miles from the popular seaside resort of Filey. The owner has taken great care in providing a fantastic holiday home for families to enjoy. The large open plan living and kitchen area has floor to ceiling patio doors taking advantage of the magnificent sea views and leading out onto a decked seating area and lawn. There’s a cosy dual sided wood burner separating the kitchen and the living/dining area. The kitchen has all the mod-cons expected of a house of this standard as well as a utility area. There are gardens to the front and the rear which are completely enclosed. For guests taking their four-legged friends, a dog crate is also provided.
A 2-minute walk and you are on a stunning vast beach that stretches for over 3 miles to Filey and beyond. It’s a beach that never looks busy as it’s so wide and has lots of space for everybody. Great for the children or walking the dogs, or watching the horse riders galloping through the waves in the early morning. There is an excellent café that serves the beach guests and provides meals and drinks as well as ice creams. Filey is a very traditional seaside resort, not quite as busy as its neighbour Scarborough however it has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Filey is also the end of the Cleveland Way walk so you can enjoy a walk along the cliff tops to Scarborough following part of this very famous 109 mile trail. The seaside resorts of Scarborough and Bridlington are just a short drive away. Both resorts are very popular holiday destinations and worth a visit during your stay.
The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive where you can see the puffins and other migrating birds from the viewing points on the cliff tops. Yorkshire is famous for its stately homes and Sewerby Hall, Burton Agnes Hall, Sledmere House and the wonderful Castle Howard are just a short drive. Sea Haven is not far from the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Wolds made famous by the artist David Hockney, who often paints the rolling hills of the Wolds. Beach 70 yards. Forge Villa is a beautiful property situated in the village of Ebberston, on the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park. This area is very popular with cyclists as Dalby Forest can be accessed by the lane that runs to the north of the property. Dalby Forest in the past has hosted the World Cup mountain bike event, so there’s plenty of challenging runs for you to try. For those of you who enjoy a more leisurely trail, there’s miles of woodland paths for both bikers and walkers. The forest attracts international and UK visitors throughout the year, not just for the cycling, but for the many events that are held here, from concerts to educational nature visits for children.

The owner takes great pride in providing a beautiful holiday home, and Forge Villa has been decorated and furnished to a very good standard. The gardens are beautifully kept, with areas for nature to thrive, plus a colourful, wild flower meadow. Chafer Wood backs onto the grounds so you have lots of woodland walks for the dog. Access to the driveway is via a electric gate for added security, however please note parking is at own risk and the owners take no responsibility for loss or damage. There is a pub opposite so perfect for a drink after a busy day exploring the area.

The village of Ebberston is a short drive from the east coast, with Scarborough, Filey and Whitby close by. The popular market towns that Yorkshire is famous for, such as Malton, Pickering and Helmsley, are all within a short driving distance. Pickering is the nearest town, just 10 minutes away, and is home to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Here you can take a wonderful ride on a steam train and travel across the Moors to Whitby. Stop off at Goathland, the fictional village of Aidensfield in the ever popular TV programme ’Heartbeat’. Pickering is also host to the very popular ’1940’s Wartime Weekend’, an event held every year that takes over the whole town and attracts visitors as far away as the USA. This attractive cottage rests in the village of Gargrave, on the edge of Yorkshire Dales National Park, which is the location for the new TV series of All Creatures Great and Small and only 15 miles from Haworth famous for the Brontës and setting for the new and old Railway Children films. It is an ideal location with everything you need in the village, but the countryside right on your doorstep, with the Pennine Way and Settle Carlisle Railway both a short walk away and the river 100 yards away for picnics. Gateway to the Lakes but also close to well-known cities such as Blackpool, Manchester and Leeds (45 minutes’ by train). Links to London or Edinburgh with only one change of train.

This cosy detached cottage making a romantic retreat, is Grade II listed and dates back to 1760. It has been tastefully renovated to a very good standard and benefits from an underfloor heated limestone tiled floor throughout the ground floor. Outside there is a large, enclosed, riverside garden, on the opposite side of a road that leads directly into the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. It has a shared patio with a sitting-out area, a further riverside secluded seating area, garden furniture, BBQ and summerhouse. Although shared with the owners it is available to guests and their pets to enjoy at all times. Within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, East Ayton is a village just a few minutes’ drive from the seafront at Scarborough. The village has all the amenities you could wish for with a post office, shop, garage and local pub as well as an excellent fish restaurant. The cottage is just off the main street on the lane leading further into the National Park and towards Hackness. This property is an ideal place for the walkers or cyclists amongst you, with great trails right on your doorstep. From the large riverside orchard garden there are open views across the valley to the castle that dates back to 1390. Cycling is also very popular in the area as this forms part of the Tour de Yorkshire route. The Dalby Forest is close by with cycle trails for all abilities and home to the World Cup Trail, a challenging 4 mile route, or for beginners, there are plenty more leisurely routes. The cottage is an ideal base to visit all that Yorkshire has to offer from the North Yorkshire Moors to the Wolds and the beautiful east coast, and coarse fishing is available direct onto the River Derwent at the bottom of the garden with brown trout and grayling. Sycamore Cottage was originally a barn, dating from the heyday of the lead mining industry. It has been furnished to create a homely atmosphere and is the ideal property in which to kick back and relax. The charming garden is enclosed and provides a small lawn and a nice eating area, as well as a higher patio area with lovely views. Situated just a couple of minutes’ walk from the centre of Grassington, it is on the Dales Way and so well placed for both long hill walking and easier riverside walking straight from the door.
Take advantage of Grassington’s wide selection of pubs, restaurants and cafés, together with interesting independent shops, or in the local town hall, you can play snooker or badminton. A little further afield lies the bustling market town of Skipton, where you can enjoy canal cruises, golf, or the indoor swimming pool. Although there are no great views from inside the property, the secluded and cosy interior, large communal kitchen, and great village location with parking for two cars, more than compensates.
