Seaton Hall has a fascinating past, the hall was named after the de Seton dynasty who resided from 1130 to 1307, and whose family made allegiances with and marriages to the Scottish Royal family. Passed down through generations, before slipping into disrepair. The present owner (who is descended from one of the previous residents Sir Francis Bigod) purchased the estate in 2002. He has employed a team of specialist masons and craftsmen and has been lovingly rebuilding and restoring this incredible place of local heritage.

There is something to delight everyone in the area, with picturesque walking trails, including the Cleveland Way leading across the cliff tops. Many pretty coastal villages such as Runswick Bay, Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes and the historical seafaring town of Whitby will delight guests. Whitby, with its cobbled old town, independent shops and cafes, boat trips and the iconic Abbey ruins makes a great day out. Saltburn is a surfer’s paradise, with a beautiful Victorian pier. Swaledale is increasingly popular with cyclists following the Grand Depart of the Tour de France in 2014 and the annual Tour De Yorkshire.
