The market town of Alnwick with its castle, Alnwick Gardens, and a wide array of independent shops, galleries and eateries is within just 8 miles. The picture-postcard town of Rothbury sitting at the foot of the Simonside and Lordenshaw Hills, with Cragside Hall on its outskirts, 9 miles away. Wooler is a welcoming market town 11 miles from the property, nestled at the foot of the Cheviot Hills and offering a good selection of shops, pubs, and restaurants. The historic village of Warkworth is only 2 miles away, which is a lovely walk. A popular place to visit, with its fabulous castle dominating the skyline, a selection of good pubs, bespoke shops and galleries and pretty riverside walks. The beach is nearby and a fabulous place to go and walk. The market town of Alnwick, with its cobbled streets and famous castle, is a 15-minute drive away. This is a popular destination for those who enjoy cycling, golf, horse riding and walking with the challenging St Cuthbert’s Way close by.

Bamburgh is renowned for its majestic fortress and beautiful expanse of golden, sandy beach and is only 11 miles east. The elegant Georgian town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, which straddles the salmon rich River Tweed, and the cobbled, market town of Alnwick, protected by its dramatic castle, both offer a wide array of amenities around half an hour’s drive away.
