Or if you want a wild day out, try The Lake District Wildlife Park at Bassenthwaite being 8 miles away, or The Lakes Distillery offering daily tasting and tours, which is also only 8 miles from the property. If you like walking, cycling and climbing, you are surrounded by some amazing scenery and routes around Latrigg and Catbells, and nearby you’ll find Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn to name a few.
