    The Heritage coastline Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty stretches along the beautiful coastline to Berwick-upon-Tweed with miles of golden beaches and castles. Be sure to visit Holy Island, home to the Lindisfarne Gospels, but make sure you check the tide tables to access the causeway! For Harry Potter fans, a visit to Alnwick Castle, 10 miles, is recommended. Home to the Duke of Northumberland, it is a popular tourist destination in the cobbled historic town of Alnwick. Alnmouth station is only a few miles away, and here you can catch the east coast train up to Edinburgh or down to Newcastle or York for day trips to remember.
