Gardeners’ cottage is a unique property comprising of three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin with an ample shower room on the first floor. On the ground floor there is a sunroom looking onto the enclosed private walled garden, a utility with toilet, the kitchen dining space is well-equipped and lighting can be adjusted to suit the mood.
The living room has a baby grand piano, record player and a wood burner, which makes it ideal for relaxing with friends and family or just reading a book in a tranquil setting. During the summer the walled garden is a treat to behold, there is a seating area and is an enclosed space for dogs and children. There is a spacious lawn to the front of the which is not enclosed so pets or young children will need to be supervised. If you need to work while staying at the cottage there is high speed fibre broadband which has recently been installed.
Located six miles from the historic city of Perth, Gardeners Cottage offers a rural location with forest walks and cycle rides on the doorstep. Also, the lochs and river Tay network provide plenty of opportunities for water sports such as wild swimming, canoeing, white water rafting and stand up paddle boarding.
Perthshire has many award-winning restaurants, including two that have Michelin stars. There are many artisanal food producers, and there is also a vibrant arts scene including Perth Concert Hall, Perth Theatre, Scone Palace and Birnam Arts Centre and Perthshire Creates to name a few. Whatever you decide to do there is plenty to keep everyone entertained.

This lovely detached log cabin, with a turf roof, has been carefully furnished throughout to provide stylish and welcoming accommodation. Its mix of contemporary furnishings combined with the wooden walls creates a warm and inviting home, perfect at any time of the year. The high ceiling in the living room provides a light and airy feel, whilst the cosiness of the wood burner is a real delight on colder days. The living room leads out onto the patio overlooking the decking. Its idyllic location, amongst a variety of trees in a secluded position, yet within easy access to the village of Kirkmichael, makes it a real haven for relaxation. Watch the variety of wildlife on the doorstep - plenty of red squirrels, roe deer and woodland birds who love the peaceful environment, can be easily seen. The property really is a hideaway, accessed by a non-tarmac track and in winter, the track can get snowy and icy. However, the owners are on hand should you need assistance.
From the sloping 3-acre garden, interspersed with pathways, there are excellent walks through the mixed woodland onto heath and moor which opens up to breathtaking views, perfect for hill and dog walkers. In particular there is the Cateran Trail – a 100 mile circular walk through the Angus Glens and Perthshire. Winter sports at Glenshee Ski Slopes provide extensive skiing and snowboarding facilities, and are located just a short drive away. The popular towns of Pitlochry and Blairgowrie are just 13 miles equidistant with a great variety of shops, a theatre, fine dining restaurants, cafés and a distillery, all well worth a visit. Golfers can test their skills on over 30 courses in the area, and for the more adventurous there is mountain biking, fishing and horse riding. Throughout the year many events are held in the region including The Strathardle Gathering every August (Highland Games), The Etape Caledonia Cycling Event in May, The Perthshire Open Studios and The Blairgowrie Book Festival in October, which can be enjoyed whilst staying in this lovely property. This spacious, detached holiday house, adjacent to the owner’s home, lies in almost 1½ acres of gardens, and is situated in a quiet residential area of Blairgowrie, a market town in the heart of Perthshire. The River Ericht runs through the town, which itself is the starting point for the 60-mile Cateran Trail. Glenshee, Scotland’s largest skiing area, caters for all year round sports activities including fishing, mountain biking, abseiling, hang gliding and paragliding. There are several excellent golf courses in the town and local area, including a championship course a mile away as well as the Rosemount and Lansdowne courses. Gleneagles, St Andrews and Carnoustie are within an hour’s drive. Explore the many castles, stately homes and gardens nearby, including Glamis and Scone Palace. The cities of Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen and Edinburgh are all within easy driving distance. Relax in the garden with a glass of wine after enjoying this beautiful area and all it has to offer. There is plenty of culture to be found in nearby Dundee, 17 miles away, where the Victoria and Albert Museum is located, as well as the RRS Discovery and plenty of good shops and eateries. This is a fantastic area for golf enthusiasts with a selection of country courses in Alyth, Blairgowrie and Kirriemuir nearby, and the famous links course at Carnoustie, all an easy drive. This 17th-century cottage, sits next to a small brewery in a small village on the outskirts of Pitlochry; which is a small but bustling town, with a good variety of shops, places to eat and a theatre that puts on summer shows. A traditional cottage it is ideal for guests wishing to enjoy a comfortable holiday break – whatever the season. Some superb golf (8 golf courses in less than 8 miles) and fishing can be enjoyed in the area, and there are numerous castles, gardens and distilleries to visit. Why not start your exploration closer to home however and follow any of the pleasant walks available directly from the doorstep.
